The
OnePlus 13 was
announced in China quite recently. That model of the device has just
received Macro Mode via a new update, as we’re waiting for the global
OnePlus 13 model to arrive.
Do note that this model of the device comes with ColorOS. The global version will ship with OxygenOS. The builds are not that similar, but they’re made for different markets, so you will see differences. Plus the global model will include Google services, of course.
The OnePlus 13 gets Macro Mode prior to its global launch
In any, the
Macro Mode is indicated via a petal icon in the device’s camera app, as you can see below. The phone uses its 50-megapixel ultrawide camera to capture macro images.
We’re still not sure when will the global version of the device land. The OnePlus 12 arrived about a month after the Chinese version. If OnePlus ends up following that logic, the global version could arrive in December.
Then again, the OnePlus 12 launched in China in December, not November, so the global model arrived in January. That could indicate we may have to wait until January for the global OnePlus 13 model. Only time will tell.

Either way, the OnePlus 13 does look like a compelling phone. It was recently confirmed that the device will
arrive to global markets in three colors. Those colors are Arctic Dawn, Black Eclipse, and Midnight Ocean.
The specs will be more or less the same globally. It may arrive in different RAM options, but that’s about it. The global version will offer up to 16GB of RAM, not up to 24GB of RAM, as 12GB and 16GB LPDDR5X RAM models are tipped.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite fuels the OnePlus 13. In addition to Qualcomm’s flagship processor, the phone also includes a 6.82-inch QHD+ LTPO AMOLED display. That display offers up to 120Hz refresh rate, and it’s flat.
Three 50-megapixel cameras sit on the back, and they’re backed by Hasselblad. There’s also a large 6,000mAh battery included in the package. 100W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging is also on offer.
