You haven't started using your 13R yet?

Sold my Oneplus 13, flashed Oxygen OS, at 850 only, because it is too challenging to bring it and x fold 3 pro together. My pants refused.

Now, I am using redmi K40, flashed PiexlOS, the overall experience is really okay, but of course a drop from Oneplus and Oxygen OS. Like from 95 to 75, acceptblable.

Waiting for the upcoming Oneplus 13 mini, or any other small-screen device with Oxygen OS or ColorOS GLO.

The battery life on the OnePlus 13 is crazy good.

This is on the very first full charge - 8 hours of screen time over 41.5 hours, with 24% battery remaining. (Granted, this is entirely on WiFi, without any SIM inserted..)

Bought one to try, when the price dropped below $1,000 during Shopee 3.3. That’s why didn’t insert any SIM card yet. Still holding onto Pixel 9 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro. 😅

Only the white was left, which is the colour I least like, but heck, considering the price. Haha

I realised the charge started from 80%. OP13 battery life is impressive even if it's on wifi.

Do you guys optimize anything in the settings to improve battery life? Or leave it as is? I usually charge til 80% and use it for the day and bring along a powerbank. I can charge in office too. Go overseas charge til 100%. I have less battery anxiety on OP13R than S24+ lol

Actually why charge to 80 and not 100?
I tot full charge cycle is in a few hundreds if not a thousand?
Easily can last for a few years before change phone or get new battery right?

The one in my screenshot actually started from a full charge of 100%. You see only 80% because the graph is truncated, as the last full charge was very long ago. Haha

I didn't have any special settings. Just using it how I would. Didn't turn on power save mode either.

Because of heat and the strain it puts on the battery's chemistry? If 80% can last you the whole day, there's no need to strain your battery unnecessarily IMO. With VOOC, topping up is super quick anyway.

Charge to the full 100% on the occasions where you need it, like events or long days.

If you want to pass down the phone or use it for an extended period, preserving the battery is quite important as it gets increasingly difficult to find good battery replacements later on in the phone's life:

1. First party batteries are degraded as they'll have been manufactured quite a long time back.
2. Difficult to find reliable third party batteries. If you find good ones, can ask shops like Mister Mobile to replace for you and you pay the labour fee. But they won't warranty it.

Don’t worry, my OnePlus 13 I let it go to 100% one. The battery tech used is cutting edge.
What’s So Special About Silicon NanoStack Batteries?

  1. Higher Energy Density: Traditional batteries use graphite in the anode, which can only store a limited amount of lithium. By integrating silicon nanoparticles into the anode, the Silicon NanoStack design boosts energy storage without adding bulk. This means you get a bigger battery in a slim and ergonomic phone.
  2. Less Heat, More Safety: Charging can generate heat, which is a major factor in battery wear and tear. Silicon NanoStack batteries, however, generate significantly less heat during charging. This not only makes the OnePlus 13 series safer but also extends the lifespan of the batteries over time.
  3. Greater Durability: The layered structure of Silicon NanoStack batteries reduces mechanical stress during use, minimizing capacity loss over time. This means that even after years of use, the OnePlus 13and 13R batteries should retain most of their original performance—a big win for those who like to hold onto their devices for the long haul.

Hahahaha dont like that leh. I sharing my honest opinion only. But im glad my poison usually manage to help people in HWZ here and not just blindly recommend a piece of junk to people

Duh bruh.... Tensor is just a piece of ****..... Heat up is ok, but performs worst than sd8g3 :s22:

OxygenOS is my favourite skin among android. OneUI will come second, but i tried OneUI 7 on S25 ultra, i still prefer the more straight forward OxygenOS. Too much customizations on Samsung le, it is good in a way, but as age catch up on me, a simpler OS suit be better now.

HyperOS is just a rebranded name of MIUI. Still as **** as before ... The battery optimization on hyperOS is just pure bad. I looked at 1 article comparing a motorola phone and poco phone with same specs and cpu, motorola battery life lasts way longer than poco with the same battery size.....

what are your top features for OxygenOS? been a samsung user since S3 but gave up with their s25 series (incremental hardware upgrades). though i miss some samsung features like dex and other little things like apps opened from sidebar to open fully instead of being a pop up or multi app window and hold picture in gallery to auto crop. OOS three swipe down feature to screenshot is better than swipe with palm and blazingly fast. :D

Smoothness and snappiness is my top feature of OxygenOS

13R from 1:10am two nights ago to 1:10am last night from 80% to 30% battery.

1:10am - 80% (unplugged from charger)
9:10am - 77%
12:15pm - 73%
2:15pm - 64%, 1h50min SOT
6:15pm - 52%, 3h15min SOT
8:15pm - 43%, 4h25min SOT
11:00pm - 37%, 5h SOT
1:10am - 30%, 5h 57min SOT

24h use with about 6hSOT.

On 4G for about 2-3 hours when out. No gaming. Wifi, Bluetooth always on (hid the Bluetooth status bar icon as I found it ugly; another one of my fav OOS features). Balanced power profile, adaptive brightness. Screen refresh rate set to "high" as the standard mode's 90hz refresh rate in some apps was quite jarring.

Quite impressive!

Guess the only consolation was the screen being fine as well as the back. Considered lucky enough 😔

Mister Mobile sells the official sandstone case for 13R for $18. Many outlets islandwide, can WhatsApp them to see which outlets have ready stock before heading down.
