it don't matter. ROM is just software. Same hardware from the same factory. But if there is Esim feature - different mfc
Yes, it's just software, but there is also the need to install play store seperately as it does not come preinstalled, and I believe Android auto doesn't work, as well as there's a chance of notification issue, compared to the already inbuilt gms features out of the box. There are buyers out there that have no such prior knowledge and want to use it as a main daily driver phone, and I sure do not want to blindly recommend alternate routes and not take responsibility if things do not work as intended. Heard local set prices are not gonna be to far off cn prices, so just wait and get those if possible.

The right is just to wait for global Rom/CN&HK set. some laws don't apply to hong kong. If local price is good with Esim, why not? Rmb if got charger inside first ma

it does matter to those thinking of buying them, and are not knowing how to or do not want the trouble of having to go through all these extra steps to get the phone to work, at the basic level. This way of passive-agressive answer is exactly what i want people to stay away from. And from how u are replying u really do not fully know how phones are sold officially, like the case of HK Oneplus. While its true HK is a part of CN now, as of now they are still selling phones seperate from their mainland counterparts, i.e global rom with esim models.

ah, please assist all that will be facing problems in the future from your recommendations, including region lock
@cloh2023 i only know cloh is enjoying the phone (if he bought and using in sg with sg sim). He mention the most impt - gov apps and banking(no Ban). Most of the sellers recommended here will remove the region lock. Xiaomi need lvl 5 china xiaomi account or 50 usd soon.

My previous driver is iphone 16 pm.

Iphone everything work for me, even Huawei watch and fitness app. However the camera is not my cuppa tea and it's also quite heavy and big on my hands.

OnePlus 13 is quite handy for asian hands I feel. Weight is also very well distributed, won't get tired holding long, no I don't play games but I read and TikTok a fair bit.

Camera is another monster which I think most of us into china phones are most concerned about.

Of course local apps must work which for me, my daily needs are fulfilled.

Oh and most china apps can be removed.
