and actually OOS 17 is already in the beta for OP15, so its still on OOS. It most probably will come preinstalled with OP16 instead, and also no confirmation of the ColorOS implemntation details. But of course i'd keep just that small bit of hopeful my thinking will still be true, considering the global scene including india and asia market also prefer what OOS was, even with ColorOS backend
I also believe it's fair to at least give OP users Oxygen 17.. but the announcement by OP sounds like they gonna just straightaway transition oxygen 16 to color 17 liao..

Yeah the camera on OnePlus is fine actually. That's the only good thing the X9 pro has over it. Other than that the OP15 is a like better version of X9 pro.
The user experience is fast, fluid, nice screen, very good battery, lighting fast charging, best china phone OS and doesn't get in the way... The sand storm color OP15 looks and feel damn unique. Lightweight enough for it's size.

The whole package is just value for $
OnePlus 15 OS will be changed to ColorOS eventually.

I'm not losing sleep over it, the OS experience won't differ much from the current oxygenOS.
To me, oneplus is just another version of Oppo ever since the start. Oneplus one is actually same like Oppo Find 7.

My point is when Oneplus 15 is using ColorOS, then Oneplus 15 doesn't have much benefits over Find X9 Pro.

Got....it's quite Abit cheaper.
The higher price is for the camera. Previously you still can argue oneplus 15 has better software. But moving on, not the case. And moving on, don't really see a point to get new oneplus phone during launch. For example this year, the launch price of Find X9 Pro and Oneplus 15 is not that big. It's pretty close in price actually. Now with same software and if launch prices still follow the same pattern, then can't think of a reason to get oneplus during launch.

Yeah I got the Oppo find X9 pro for $1079 with the free gift set. It's even cheaper than what I paid for the OnePlus 15.

Tbh, this is not a confirmed direction yet.

I don't think that should be a consideration too as well since oxygenOS and colorOS is very close.
Bro.. alr officially announced Liao.. u cannot tell me sg has a different direction than the global directive rite lol the market is so small compared to others especially India.. oxygen os is based on coloros yes but there are ppl who buy OP just bcoz of oxygen also ma..

Actually nothing much to talk about. Changing to ColorOS is just a matter of time, not next version, will be the next next. But then OxygenOS and ColorOS pretty similar, so shouldn't be an issue. What matters is the price which you can get. If you can get it below $650 for the 512gb 15R, it's still a good buy.

it probably isnt original, i have bought non original ones before, it will still charge and display 100w charging but its actual charging does not go beyond 18W, at least mine was like that

i have the uk plug 100w brick for my 1+12.

i took a chance and picked up the usa flat 2 pin brick on shopee (leave in my luggage, for travel to CN and Indochina). it's rated max 160w. when plugged in, phone shows 100W (as expected, 1+12 wired charging is max 100W), "smart rapid charging" enabled.

compared the charge times (approx 25 to 80%) for both bricks. both took approx same time.
I didn't look too closely, but generally it looks ok, no rough finishing, not ill fitting.
Dunno whether original, but it can nego the fast charge rate, so i'm happy.

just one data point.
