Second this. At that price, the things that it doesn't do well all can close one eye. Like no stereo speakers and water resistance. Camera wise to me as long as you don't pixel peep it's good enough also. Actually in terms of the metering, the auto-HDR, colour reproduction, the speed of the camera app, viewfinder refresh rate, feature-set, all pretty good to me. Of course not at Pixel 2 level la, but more than good enough.
The screen is the biggest improvement over the OP5 which went from acceptable, to excellent on the 5T. The panel seems to have better outdoor visibility, no jelly scrolling. Colours and everything also good. I did notice a very minor bit of uneven tinting (I remember seeing this on a few samsung models too), but not a big deal at all and probably isn't even worth mentioning. 1080p is enough already if you ask me.
OxygenOS is excellent as per usual with near stock android look and feel, clean, and not much bloat. Most of the additional features that they packed in are quite useful, and for me I like the customisations it offers too. The only minor downside is of course the slower software update and still on 7.1.1.
Overall it's a solid device. It may not have all the bells and whistles, but it does everything well enough, and in terms of performance, it's one of the fastest devices around. OnePlus has really come a long way. There are still some points of contention every now and then la, like the recent debacle about data collection, but overall it's a more respectable company now.
This one is speaking from my experience with their devices throughout the years

. Skipped the OP2 though. That was a hot mess. LOL.
