For our bros who upgraded from 3T to 5T, want to find out from you, is it worth it?

As in, I know the specs are higher etc. But 3T is a beast and is it a drastic difference, to do the upgrade?

Battery life has been an issue for 3T in general, but other than that, its great.

Thus, want to know from our bros who made the swap. Thanks!

5/5T has much better battery life compared to the 3T. Speed wise is also a bump but 3T is quite fast so you won't feel is a big change imo

What battery issue? I think 3T battery is quite good already and not sure is it placebo, it was even better after updating to Oreo.

5T although still on nougat, the battery life is definitely much better than 3T. I am looking forward to Oreo which may make it even better.

Unlike most, I preferred fingerprint sensor at the back and other than that deckcard have commented and I agreed with him and to add on, having a bigger screen for better visual experiences.

Then I better stick to the normal charging :D :D

well you don't have to purposely stick to normal charging.. like for times when u got a lot of time, use a lower amp charger, then for days where u're in a hurry then use the dash charging. don't waste the good tech of Dash charging just because of the fear of reducing the batt lifespan..

My experience of upgrading to Oreo on 3T was slightly worser batt life. maybe it was because I zhng the hell out of my prev nougat rom and probably the kernel and rom for nougat was a lot more polished/mature/optimised so the batt life was better. but i'm still sticking to Orei cos i love Oreo's Autofill feature. I did get the random auto rebooting bug on Oreo but after changing to a lower ver of Magisk it is ok.

Bros, thanks for the reply.

Concern is because my 3T last me 3 quarter of a day max. Could be rom causing battery drain etc. Need to try other rom n settings.

Getting a zerolemon battery pack, thus my sensing is better to hold onto 3T

Else need to spend 500 plus (cost of 5T, minus selling 3T, gift coupon discount etc).

Your 3t can last you 3-4 days? What's your daily usage like?

That's insane

With current price at $7xx for 8/128 version, I don't think you need to spend 500plus bah with sales of 3T(i think min also can get $300) + coupons + cc rebates.

need a lil of advice here. would u guys buy the oneplus 5 or 5T? considering there's a $200 diff for the same specs

If it's selling $399 like during the previous Lazada sale then yes, OP 5 can consider esp if your current phone is not recent but if u have a relatively recent phone then might not be worth it.
