That maybe true during the 1+1 days becos it was powered by Cyanogen.

Nowadays, people buy OP becos it's bang for buck compared to other flagships, plus the phone is blazing fast due to the "almost" stock Android experience with some tweaks. But looking at the price of OP5T, it isn't so clear anymore.

Another thing I almost forgot is the support for Project Treble on Oreo that supposedly to be developers friendly but its not supported on OnePlus. M10 on the other hand is supported so you will see more development work once m10 is more available in the US.

https://www.xda-developers.com/project-treble-aosp-android-oreo-huawei-mate-10-pro/

i forgot about treble too. that's definitely promising , but still quite some way to go though, whereas for OP phones, roms, kernels, magisk, xposed are all working and "live". anyway when next year's OP6 comes, it will be treble-enabled and that'll be the time to play with it.

actually I think the M10 is a fantastic phone, gona recommend it for my significant other cos she's a typical girl user (no offense to the chicks here) where she doesn't give a sh*t about the technicalities of the phone, all she wants is good batt life, fast and good cam. but for me.. way too boring even with treble cos treble is still in infancy, plus huawei's warranty is 2 years, not gona throw that away just to tinker with AOSP..

Ya luckily I still hv my op3t and op5 for those. In fact, I also keep a lot of other phones for testing.. lol
Beside the point, project treble also allow quicker updates.

Ok, she won't be disappointed with the battery life, the recent update gave the m10p another boost in battery life. I was getting over 9hr SOT which is something I haven't seen since the mate 8 days.

I've seen m10 going for 6xx with 2 years warranty is really a steal if u ask me.. boring or not, I don't know since I don't use any phones for too long anyway. Anyway, I won't continue on m10 here anymore since it's out of topic. Back to op5T..
