Agree. And knowing the trend nowadays, ppl change phone like change underwear. Quite a number of ppl would swap phone every other year. So local warranty may not be that important, less for the very particular group of ppl.

Yea, qoo10 can get $549 for base model after $50 coupon. Retail price is $788 and $898 respectively. That's $240 difference. I guess for those who really care about the warranty should go for it.

Yup, those that converted from hydrogen to official oxygenOS can still receive OTA.

Think cheapest now is expansys if you don't mind waiting. 589. then minus $15 if you buy using gift cards and whatever qpoints you have. Even add on their optional 1 year warranty is another $35 only still way cheaper than local sets. still don't know how good their after sales support is just yet. Looking at the past few attempts by local distributors, i don't have much faith.

I'm not sure if warranty is supported for export set. Like xiaomi phones, only phones that are bought locally have warranty. But local sets are more expensive. Can try but, most probably they would send to china for repair and u have to wait for 2-3 weeks. I would rather just buy a replacement part online, and repair myself but there's a risk.

The warranty is you ship the phone back to expansys and they handle it for you. So yeah, might take longer. But if the local service centre is incompetent, it could take quite some time too. Ultimately service and support for such a low volume phone is going to be a risk no matter what. Haha. Can only pray everything swee swee.

I submitted my order yesterday to 131Express(Domestic Shipping). Will update on whether my pre-applied TGSP will come broken.

However, can anyone else share their experiences? As in how fast it comes, TGSP condition.

well UAG is known to be slightly more expensive than normal ones. if i rmb correctly i got the case for S6 at 39.90

well yeah the review from that site seems good but those reviews are usually not in-depth? like its just first impressions imo.

i'm just afraid it adds significant bulk to the phone

Kind of hard to buy from local distributor...the history of past distros makes it hard to pay that premium for local warranty. And the commitment of Oneplus to our market is a doubt. Prefer to buy export set
