I have seen it mentioned once or twice in OnePlus forums. Can try to feedback to OP and it might be fixed in future update.

oneplus 7pro or 7t pro ?
worth to get 7t pro or about same with 7pro ?

The only thing you can't get on 7pro is the macro lens.
7t is more bang for buck unless you really want the notchless screen.

the only complain i have with that auto brightness is during low light condition. isn't when come to low light, the screen should be brighten up so that you can see easier ? somehow, the screen brightness also drop so every time i have to manually slide up the brightness. really confusing !!!

macro lens for smartphone is never worth to have fyi. firstly, the MP is low, i believe what you can find in the market now is like 2MP. secondly, you have to get really close to the subject for the macro effect. thirdly, when the subject get too close, a slight shake only the whole image will not be sharp even if it is on auto focusing mode. been playing with macro shooting on DSLR a lot so the pros and cons on how to get a really good macro shoot i do know a bit :)

on the other hand, it would be better to have a depth sensor than a macro lens on the smartphone camera. many might think the depth sensor is useless. it is not useless if you do a lot of portraits shooting. the depth sensor will enhance on the background softness and make the portraits look sharper and more isolated visual effect. in photography term, it is trying to make bokeh in the background.

There is no right or wrong answer here. Subject to each person's shooting style/usage. Take me for instance, I would take the macro len over telephoto as it's more useful in my line of work.

Telephoto lens has 2 advantages, zoom and portraits bokeh. Between zoom and tele, I would sacrifce tele. With gcam, I can get perfectly fine portraits without the telephoto depth info.

With regards to the macro shot, you are right it can be hard to get sharp macro images. Correct me if I'm wrong, the ultrawide doesn't have OIS, so it kind of depends on how good is the EIS implemented by OnePlus's software.

telephoto (or zoom) and depth sensor are 2 different thing. portraits can be shot with any kind of lens except macro just that you have to put your distance correct to the subject that all. stabilization mainly used for video shooting. for photography not so much. even at night when doing low light or night photography when your exposure time is long, even stabilization also can't help and you need a tripod.

smartphone camera differs from DSLR in that its aperture size is fixed. in DSLR especially mirrorless you can change the aperture size or swap the lens for different aperture size. it is the vary aperture size that produces good bokeh (using wide aperture size) or clear and sharp landscape shoot (using smaller aperture size to get wide DOF). what we are seeing the quality of smartphone camera is due to the post editing/processing by the cam app. if you take the RAW image using smartphone camera and compared with the post editing JPEG, you can see the very total different in term of quality. on the other hand, DSLR because of the ability to use quality and sharp lens, the RAW image quality is not a big different from the post editing JPEG by the camera software.

even the GCam app which many tout it is the best now if you take the RAW output and compared with the post editing JPEG output you still can see a very total different in term of quality.

for many who just want a "nice" photo, smartphone camera can satisfy that need but if you really want that top quality output be it wide-angle, portraits, macro or even telephoto, DSLR still the answer for it. you can tell the quality by just crop 100% or even 200% of the image. smartphone camera image's sharpness is gone but not those produce by DSLR.

I also have this prob, so I went to make it brighter :s22:

But realized when the room suddenly a little bit too bright, then the screen dims down again. V sensitive or not sensitive enough sometimes lol :o

I’m having an issue with the camera and gallery. After I take photo, if I want to click on the photo I took, it opens the gallery right? But then it will black out and go back to camera. Have to wait a second or so then do it again then can.

Also when I open the photos app, my gallery will be blank teh. Will take a few second or I end task and open again then can see my photos. Weird.

Anyone encounter this?

How long is the delay ? If taking hdr or portrait shots, maybe it's taking a bit of time to process the pictures.

Because there's no "front cam" sensor correct? So that's why cannot quickly detect the brightness accurately. How does it detect then? Rear sensor?

Idk  maybe the front cam is the sensor itself? 🤔

The back for sensor meh? Thought only got flash light and 2 cam lenses only :o

Just got my 7T yesterday and loving it so far

The taller screen coupled with 90hz refresh is pleasantly useful for web scrolling and forums/Reddit scrolling
