Please do a nandroid backup before doing the modification for volte as it involves deleting of volte profile. There is no way to restore back even if u reflash your firmware or factory reset. The only way u can restore it back is via a nandroid backup

To u it may not be dangerous. But the risk is still there hence is better to highlight. Some of the bros here might not be tech savy and just deleting a wrong lte profile will make u lost the imei number rendering the phone useless. There are lots of threads in oneplus forums just because of this.

Do at your own risk without a nandroid backup. Thats all i can say

this is just like the tragedy case of aloysius where people say it is not that dangerous to repair an artillery if they follow protocols, BUT still things happened

or i can also say swimming is not that dangerous but there are real people (even strong swimmers) who drowned

it's always good to highlight a potential irreversible prob than it happening with regrets later

that's why you see almost everyone who come with some workarounds in xda or other tech forums always have disclaimers.

Maybe you and I have done the enabling volte couple of times, to us it is very easy but can't say it for others and they need to know what are they getting into.

Well, it's like how some will stay with stock camera whilst others willing to install random GCam mods to shoot in certain modes.
Some will like nav buttons, others prefer gestures.
I like my status bar no icons, some must see all of them.
There be those willing to wait for OTA update, and those that install Oxygen Updater app.
Charge warp everytime, or charge little charge often.

Use the phone to your liking. No hard and fast rules.

if the price still same same like 600+ ok la dont mind but now is like 1k to make a phone useless a risk i wldnt wanna take

okie those who scared of doing VOLTE patch on their OP7Pro can choose not to do it.

Basically you don't lose anything if you don't do it. It's just that when there is an incoming call, it will switch to 3G. After the phone call ended, it will revert back to 4G.


Only people who are on tethering and working on the laptop at the same time. this will result in slower connection to the internet, partly because it's 3G speed.

ELSE, there is nothing much that you lose. -.-

to those who kpkb, you should kpkb to telco and not the vendors. Till now, all telcos don't support VOLTE on Pixel devices as well.
