Scared scared mah. Cos it's China set that the seller flashed. And I plan to do a lot of iBanking and e-payments on the phone :/

Just reset the phone should be ok. No need to reflash. That's what I did

is it worth it to buy the 7T or any oneplus phones in singapore? Since there is only 1 service centre, i feel like it will be a risk since the shop could close down anytime then my money would be wasted..

and how is the average lifespan of the phone itself? (like how long before the battery quality start to worsen etc):s11::s11::s11:

OnePlus is not for everyone, especially those who are iffy about warranty etc. Pretty much buy, use and throw in my opinion. Even if you buy local set, the service is questionable and most third party shops don't support repair for it. That being said the spare parts are available fairly cheap online if you're into DIY.

From my experience if the phone works well out of the box,it's usually good to go for few years. It doesn't degrade as badly as Samsung in terms of performance and battery life. For me performance trumps everything else which I why I made the switch couple of years back.

thats what i was thinking when i initially thought about oneplus. The lack of repair/services is really a considerable throw-off if i had bought any of their flagship models. I feel that based on their prices in sgd, it would suit well for the higher-middle income group a lot and the performance specs are comparable to flagship models from samsung/apple, and their oxygenos is seriously well designed and clean, if not one of the best OS i ever seen other than samsung's ONEUI.

Then i guess you should stick to mainstream brands since lack of service center is a considerable throw off

Using the default case, I find the sides protrude up quite a bit, making side swipes Abit difficult.

The phone does not lie flat. The ring protrudes out of the case, but the protrusion is much less than attaching a separate ring to a regular case. It would be ideal if there is a case that can lie flat totally.

Does the phone lie flat on the surface? The ring protrudes out?

This seems like a good option for a slim case with embedded ring:

Lenuo Ring Stand Case for OnePlus 7T Finger Ring Holder Casing Mix Color Bracket All-in-one Back Cover Cases for oneplus 7t
(Sorry not sure how to insert links)

Any issues with Netflix? Need to download an APK for it to work?

I bought the cameo version. Unfortunately both the phone and case is still in shipping since 11.11. i would expect this to be bulky. I bought a couple cheapo ones as well just in case this is too bulky for me

I considered this one as well but went for the other one I posted earlier. Does it lie flat on the back?
