Can I ask, those screen protector (so) that comes with the glue, once you removed the pre-installed sp then apply the new one with glue. If the sp removed or dropped off next time, will the glue remains on the phone screen?
nope glue remains on the glass instead of the screen.

Congrats to all who had received the phone, I'm still sitting on the fence...

Now, I tend to use my phone without a case. Hence, would like to find out about the following

1. Is the back of the OnePlus 8 pro (green/blue) frosted, similar to that of iPhone 11 pro max? I had seen reviews that compared it to the iPhone, but just wondering is it just matte or frosted as well?

2. Different reviewers had also said the OnePlus 8 pro is either still slippery or more grippy, without a case. Can the bros here comment on it?

Thanks a lot 🙏

1) Back case is frosted and have a matte look.

2) I find it not too slippery. But I always use my phone with a case. You never know when you might drop it.

I would recommend using a case, not because back is slippery but because of curved screen.
If u use a case, the case will prevent ur palm from hitting side of the screen.
It's annoying when u type or scroll then the screen register ur palm

Same thoughts here, one of the reason I can think of is those cheapo just trying their luck to ask for refund or [new set] replacement by making big whoo ha on social media.
I get that it's a $1000+ phone and ppl will nickpick every single little thing about it. But they should not really complain if they do not notice it when using it normally, cause they are doing tests that will obviously push the panel to induce these errors. My point is, if only it is noticeable when using it normally, then go and get it exchanged.

Thanks for the reply. I used to invest a lot in cases, till the point I couldn't remember why I wanted a case in the first place. I understand about drop and scratch protection, but just want to use the phone in its original form. Hence, backs like ceramic or vegan leather allow me to do so 😁

Well, I had used different curved screen phones previously, so quite comfortable with it. Hopefully, better palm rejection via software update can help to mitigate the frustration.

Try dropping it u will know what we mean bro. Using it in original form is good, but wait till accident happens which u wont know when.

Ceramic also will crack, its more brittle then glass. Vegan leather definitely wont crack, but will results in dents and scratches on it as it is a PU leather

Got my op8pro. This is the best android on the market hands down. Op7pro was great, then tried s20 and now op8pro. Best ever..

Getting glue glass protector tonight.

Absolutely no regrets

Since u have the s20, can u do me a favour and compare the scrolling in 120hz.
Do u see any scrolling performance difference?
Like the s20 respond to the touch better or scrolling more smooth etc

I have the S20u and I do find with both phones set at 120hz, the S20u seems more fluid and smoother than the Op8pro. Touch sensitivity wise is very similiar.
