Adding to the MRT/bus ezlink tapping issue, I'm literally taking the train as I type(joyride to sort out my phone's ezlink connecting problem). I've downloaded Google Pay SG, and yes it still doesn't work. It vibrates upon tap, but only successful after a few tries. I've tried disabling/enabling original Google pay, I've even given both apps full permissions even for things they don't use, I've tried opening both apps, then scan, I've even tried multiple positions of the phone to see if it's a NFC position thing, still I find myself standing at the train station damn long and I could only get in after a few tries, and it approves...AT RANDOM,I can't replicate the success on demand. I must have spent so much time at a few stations getting on and off I think the uncle starting to think I'm some suspicious character.

And then, in the midst of my frustration,I went to buy a drink at 7-11, and as usual, paying with my phone for regular cashier services went through without a hitch.

Zzz...hope this gets fixed soon, this never happened on my Pixel 2XL

Latest update: I just spent 15 minutes tapping my phone nonstop at Bukit Batok MRT trying to exit, I must have gotten multiple stares from passerbys, I finally got out and again, no clue why it worked when it did.

are you using any case?
it might be ur case too thick so the nfc detection not good enough.
try without any case.
some nfc reader like the one u tried in 7-11 has higher sensitivity

I'm using the Oneplus stock case. But also, I don't think that's how cases work though. My Google Pixel 2 XL could read even with my fingers between the phone and EZlink pad.

The EZ Link reader on the bus gantry can read the card, the OP8P registers a tap and buzzes, but it never goes through regardless if you reposition it, so it's not that it cannot detect, I think as many have mentioned, it can detect, it just can't register/authorize the payment for some reason.

most bros here having same issues, included myself. confirmed not a standalone case.
i tested both scenarios - with and without case. still got issue.

my v50 and s20+ both has zero issues on translink and paywave.

Separate question - do y'all know can I force apps such as Straits Times to appear full screen? Right now when I go to Settings, Display, Advanced, apps to display fullscreen. There are no apps listed at all. And I don't know how to force apps fullscreen. Right now some apps have the ugly black bar at the top.

It actually depends on the application itself, whether it supports the full screen stretching or not.

Seems that in this case, Straits time app does not support full screen mode.

The list of apps in the place you described are the ones that can be forced to full screen mode if needed

For the VoLTE activation, does one need to enable the "Serial" on top of the "Full Port Switch"? Seems like at the end of the procedure, after reboot, the original Overseas DS profiles gets reactivated, and nothing happens.

Did u click activate at the pdc software after u set the volte profile?

Yes le, did click Activate and saw that Sub0 changed from Overseas to India Vodafone.
But after the reboot, it went back to Overseas liao.

U click activate before u make the changes or after? If u did it before, u need do it after u made the changes

Also when u reboot, is it because u r doing firmware upgrade to 10.5.8? That firmware will reset the volte settings
