According to the Oneplus forum, the most recent update hasn't solved the display issues for everyone, and in a few owners' case, made it even worse.

just receive some news about shipment delayed for OP8 due to current covid 19 situation. however, it will still be shipped within the timeframe stated in lazada. so dont expect earlier delivery for now...

I'm also half-half and considering whether to cancel the pre-order now. But it's still some time away from the projected delivery, so going to continue to wait to see if Oneplus puts out a next update to improve the display. If not, then I'll drop the pre-order.

I saw one people explained that the green tint issue is a “Hardware problem that can be solve by software?” DOnt know how true is that, if is true statement then can continue the order since OnePlus is going to solve the problem anyway, just depend on how Long the time they take to fix the software only

I think green tint issue can be solved by software but image retention/burn in issue cannot. So that one is really have to replace, if not down the road ur screen will be rabak

no longer viable to go export set when phone cost almost 1.3k.. huge risk there.

I feel like export set is okie if it is like a difference of 200 bucks or something. We can all wait for a good discount from Qoo10 or Shopee. If you are the type that buys phone to play play for a few mths Or half yearly then sell off then I don’t think you need to have local warranty.

What to do? Android phones are not exactly known to retain much resell value. New phones come out all the time.

Selling to phone shop should be the last resort. You can easily get more if you sell it off on Carousell.
