and if oppo really the one supporting the 8T for warranty, will be a lot better too. those that have been following OnePlus in singapore should know how many distributors have tried only to give up in a year or two. to the point where "official local warranty" doesn't even mean much anymore. :s13:

So i guess most here still export set eh...
:s13:
whats the reason? Price?

Cos i see shopee can get about 800 on average if 1 year warranty by seller (provided they dont close). So is 299 less then local set for 2 year warranty. Not worth?

Let me repeat again for those considering local sets

ONLY Oppo Suntec Service Center is servicing Oneplus phones. Other service centers do not service Oneplus phones for now. Not sure if will extend to other Oppo service centers in the future

Mine is impatience... Not a good virtue. 😭😭

Don't hold on to phones long so no point to buy with warranty. All my previous sets from Mr Mobile... For me no advantage leh. Even the gpay issue could not solve quickly.

$200+ for 2 years warranty not worth it for me. I change phone once a year. So far all these years I havent had any phone issues with Oneplus Xiaomi Samsung etc. I feel the quality and build has reached a certain standard and rarely break down nowadays. I'm comfortable to go with export set for Oneplus.

But especially for Oneplus, it really hasn't build its roots enough here in SG for me to buy local sets vs Samsung Apple Xiaomi. So many distributors come and go, and I remember there was no local distributor for a period of time before Mister Mobile came in. Having the warranty is one thing, exercising the warranty when you need it is another, somehow like the same for insurance. No local assurance with Oneplus for me now.

So i guess most here still export set eh...

Is the buds worth it tho? Like got some complains on reddit sub.

Either way seems like it's 350 bucks extra for the buds and cover and possibly 2 years official warranty compared to export. Compared to local is 200 extra for buds and case

Yep. This was the same launch day bundle in US. Buds ah, go google how much they selling lo. Maybe some might prefer buying from official channels.

Still pitching my tent waiting for cyberpunk edition although most likely won't get it cos yellow. :s13:

Tbh unless you're hard up for the warranty if not 350 can get much better buds. Even galaxy buds+ also probably better hahaha
