I got from shoppee when they had 100 off voucher. Upgraded from 7 pro. It was also a Cn set haha, used that for 2 yrs without any issue.

For cameras I actually liked 7 pro photos, so I would say it's an upgrade going to 9 pro. The only issue I had with both cameras was shutter lag. It's more or less solved. It's still there with 11.2.4.4 update but I need to really shake the phone while snapping the photo to see it. If u do that the pics will be blurry anyway. Other than that my other nitpick is that it's crushing the shadows under bright light. Things I like are the ultra wide as I use it quite abit. It's very good 👍 feels good to to not think about the quality when taking ultra wide.

thanks for your sharp review! glad that the shutter lag only happens at extreme situations and not common. but just wondering if it's the case when you try to take a moving object like a fidgeting dog or toddler. would that be an issue?

hopefully the shadow contrast can be improved via camera software improvement.. doesn't seem like it's a hardware issue.

the silver is really fantastic. the stock case is nice too actually... but prefer to show off the silver.

i was originally on india OXYGEN ROM, but changed to EUROPE OXYGEN ROM.
doing factory reset, then updating to the latest OTA update

i've used op7pro, op8pro, now op9pro. Loved them all, but 9pro is still best yet.

to be honest, very few.
i always try new flagships
- samsungs
- xiaomi
- google
- LG
- sony
- apple

i keep coming back to oneplus....

but some negatives:
- PRO version is expensive. i paid 1.2k.
- front facing camera beauty effect too strong
- some might say pixel camera / samsung camera are better.... but to be honest all are so good already, its like comparing 95% vs 96% vs 97% quality. Overall, OP camera is still best for me because i love the macro (the only phone with it)
- size wise, its a bit big and fat. i think the perfect size is IP12 mini size.
- fingerpritn reader is on screen. my skin gets dry sometimes, so after awhile it doesn't read accurately. actual button based fingerprint reader is more accurate for me)

SOftware wise, i think it is the best. EXTREMELY snappy... in fact, i dont think pixel is any better actually. There are A LOT of small little things that oneplus does very well that sometimes people don't realise
- physical mute switch
- speakers
- external mic
- haptic feedback / vibration motor is sharp and crisp
- overall UI snappiness and lag (even pixel sometimes lags up due to software)
- typing latency (im quite sensitive to keyboard speed... i get pissed off sometimes when keyboard has microlag)
- has built in screen recorder function
- screenshot function has expanded mode (i.e. can scroll down to capture full page), AND built-in editor --> this is the best screenshot implementation i've experienced. If u often take screen capture and need to make markings, this is the best.
- can show network speed at top (useful to see if my wifi 4g is screwed up)
- has scheduled power on / off (useful if u wanna save batt or reboot ur phone automatically to keep it snappy)
- parallel apps --> Run same apps but using different account...
- app locker --> password control specific apps so noone can open them

can the beauty mode be turned off?

regarding macro, what do u mean by the only phone with it? I tot most phones can take macro shots with their main or ultrawide lens...

glad to read that the UI is very good~

Can switch off the beauty but I still think they apply a bit...

Macro means super close...other phones got macro but oneplus has the closest one I've found.

just wondering - other than potential device spoil (which cn set have 3 months - 6 months warranty), and 2 pin plug. Is there any difference u feel that will be different from local set to justify the local set premium?

Or you feel that CN set will be good enough, especially since the IMEI issue has been fixed according to some reviewers above.

Local warranty I guess...?

Otherwise I have been buying CN sets since OP7.

Very rarely do my phones ever have issue during first year.

Actually what is price difference BTW CN and local?

usually 200 - 300. so 8gb 256 assuming 1.1k after $100 coupon from qoo10, local set easily 1.3 - 1.4k i guess
