This is sadly a risk of using this phone. Even if you buy it in an "official" country, pretty sure they will have many excuses to not fix any problems, given what I've read about Oneplus.

Maybe you can try to contact ITE College East at Simei. They have a course for servicing mobile phone and I've heard that they do take in servicing. The facilities inside are sponsored by Samsung and quite advance too. My brother in law took the mobile phone servicing course related the above to me.

eh it's quite worrying to know that there are no third party repair places lol

Sent from OnePlus A0001 using GAGT
Eh, you buying a phone that's not officially selling here, what you expect ah?

Those repair people also won't bring in spare parts because they dunno the market here exists or not for this model - not because you bought it you assume someone out there must cater to you. :D

I bought the phone with the attitude that if the thing conks up, as good as gone liao. :s13: At that price, if I managed to get 6 months out of it I quite happy liao.

Given how much TLC ecneret_eel gives to his OPO, if it really gets into any mishaps, it most probably is fated to happen. :D

I most likely getting a Nexus 6 tomorrow, SG getting local stock tonight, I probably will hold onto my OPO. Hope the Nexus 6 doesn't disappoint me.

Thought you already got it liao?

But you seasoned Note user, doubt the N6 will make you happy. Very barebones.

Nah, I don't wish to gamble $800 on a phone with no warranty from Amazon. I really miss my Note, but when the Note 4 introduced the screen with curved edges, and there is no screen protector to cover the screen fully, I decided to not get it.

Why can't they just make the screen totally flat? I'll just mess around the Nexus 6 and see how things go.
