Seems to me 44S is still the most stable. I'm still on 44, been wanting to upgrade to L but keep reading that many users encounter prob and batt life not as good :(

I would advise you not to upgrade...

Touch sensitivity is really terrible for my TPK touchpanel OPO from mid Jan 2015... on CM12S, 12.1, 12 and Oxygen. They all run different touchscreen drivers and at least in my experience, none of them have nailed it.

When flashed Oxygen, it was fine at the beginning though battery drain was massive and the phone was either warm or hot at all times. I wanted to skip CM all around but the thing was that I couldn't stay with Oxygen

(buttery smooth performance but terrible touchscreen, google play wakelock and power management)

When I was at CM12S, it was just as bad and I went to CM12.1 nightly. Wasn't as bad but the touch speed was really poor still.

Went back to CM11S 44S in the end (38R had the best battery for me, but 44S was the most balanced one in usability and battery life)...

Might wanna check if you have a wintek or TPK panel though though most of us will have a TPK. Mine works best on 44S so far...

Code:
cat /sys/class/input/input0/vendor_id

What the number returned denotes
Code:
#define TP_VENDOR_WINTEK	1	//ʤ»ª
#define TP_VENDOR_TPK		2	//TPK
#define TP_VENDOR_TRULY		3	//ÐÅÀû
#define TP_VENDOR_YOUNGFAST 4   //Ñó»ª

Hmm.. On my OPO, CM12/12S/Oxygen updates all have aggravated the multitouch problems...

CM11S 44S wasn't too bad but still, multiple fingers along the X axis won't register properly.

As such, I've downgraded back to 44S via fastboot.

Bro I think yours is more of hardware problem, because non of the software updates solved it. So far the most common problem I see being reported are the ghost touches and unresponsive touch screen. But those should have been fixed or improved by now.

Another thing you can try is flashing a custom kernel. Like for example the AK kernel which comes with updated touch screen drivers. But if it still does not help then you are probably the unlucky few that got a hardware defective device.

And as for those battery drain problem with Google Play Services etc. Its a known issue that happens not just in OPO but other devices too. And there are already solutions to fix it.

For me personally I've been using custom roms based on CM12 and its been quite stable for me.

My wife's OPO from Dec 2014 also still has touchscreen problems (unresponsive touch) both before and after the CM12S update. Really frustrating...

Is this touchscreen problem like you scroll through things and it will randomly click into the links? Because I have that.

Also can I ask if I used stock recovery to flash cm12s, how do I root it ah? I read all over the forums and it's either confusing with terms like adb or use command prompt or need to wipe. I didn't have to do all this with my htc desire 5 years ago -.-

The x axis problem refers to the general issue with TPK panels. Depending on the individual's usage pattern, this may/may not be an issue.

It does not register multiple fingers on the X axis. You can't type fast or it will miss out keys in certain words due to this issue.If you were to use YAMTT's paint and multitouch test, you'll make some observations.

I own a 2014 and 2015 TPK OPO (and referred 2 friends to the OPO, they all have a TPK and experience this) and there are similar observations; 2nd finger flickers and doesn't register correctly if its alOng the axis the first finger lies on.

Ghost touches may have been resolved to a large extent, but not the x axis 1. It may be innate to the TPK panels due to firmware or drivers.

Will probably consider AK or Franco but oneplus's response to the public regarding this hasn't been really helpful.

If its really a software issue then a software update would have solved the problem.

The only thing you can try to do now is to flash a custom ROM which might have latest fixes or a custom kernel like AK etc.

Anyway I just did a test on YAMTT and it seems like my multitouch on X-Axis is normal. It was able to register my multiple fingers along the same X-Axis. Not sure if its because I'm using a custom ROM.

saw an OTA update today. just did it. seems like after applying, my phone keeps showing an error where an application requires an update for it to work but i have zero idea whats the app.

i also realise that my signal keeps getting dropped then picked up again. i'm on starhub btw. anybody facing this issue too? i'll keep a lookout and see if its only happening in my office.

both

Both made use of each other to gain popularity.

Opo is not big enough & conservative and Cyan wants bigger manufacturer to help them reach out to more user.
Given their sh*tty marketing campaigns, I wouldn't use the word "conservative" to describe OP.
