Hi, why don't you try editing the APN type field for a consistent experience. Note you can use the 'default' in a few places without error. So try removing them and keep it on the APN that you want to use.

Actually, I did tried editing the default APN but it doesn't work.

So created a new APN & stick to it since it work on my phone. I don't normally switch to 3G locally.

Some luck with 3G

I managed to solve (somehow) my 3G internet issues mentioned yesterday. I flashed a hacked modem mentioned in

modem hack for Chinese OPO to enable 3G | OnePlus One | XDA Forums,

rebooted the phone, set to WCDMA preferred, and all was well. Managed to get decent 3G data speeds in the Circle Line in the afternoon, but got almost zero speeds in the evening on the way back home also in Circle Line.

I hope the speeds improve in the days to come. Otherwise it'll be a pity for such a great phone. Loving the rest of it besides the data problems.

Are the speakers on the set sound alright. I saw in the AA review that the two speakers output holes actually is just one speaker.

Speaker is too loud compared to my S2. I have make all my sound profiles softer.

It's good to know the modem hack works. For whatever reason u have to stay on 3G, local 4G is reasonably fast, especially in the CBD.

My average monthly data usage has yet to hit the roof. Averagely, about 2.5gb.

Once home, it's all wifi.

Yup Im staying on 3G so as to keep the 12gb data. But should be recontracting and moving onto 4G soon. Hopefully when that happens my OPO wouldn't have problems with 4G either.

I am on legacy plans too. Not upgrading any time soon as my monthly data some times hit 3GB or even higher when I am downloading lots of ROMs.
