I agree. Paypal has been the most convenient so far. Its extremely easy to use and convenient.
As for scammers, always make it a point to go for reputable sellers. If buying from ebay check the comment sections for complaints or their star rating.

If you want to buy a goods from these websites or other websites, please avoid this merchant or these contact emails.
I bought a led turtle Dec last year from streetdeal.sg. But not workable after received it, I can provide video proof. I emailed to this dishonest merchant many times,all ignored.The merchant is very mean. And streetdeal.sg did not reply my any complaint email about the goods and merchant and my request for refund or exchange.
In the future, Please avoid voxxus marketing. Also avoid streetdeal.sg.

If I'm not wrong PayPal charges 50cents plus 3.4% regardless of the price of the items. Can see on the "Fees" section of PayPal Singapore. IMO, there's nothing cheaper than PayPal for merchants atm.

Problem with iBanking is that once you send out the money, its gone! No getting it back even if your purchase never arrives.

Feel deceived by the deal I bought from deal.com.sg

Bought a deal from deal.com.sg, merchant, Absolute Conceptz Pte Ltd, advertised the Spin and Go mop on deal.com.sg when received the mop yesterday, it was a China brand mop which I can easily buy from any hardware shop or supermarket. Felt totally deceived by the deal I bought. Will never purchase from deal.com.sg

Besides online shopping from sellers in Singapore, do you buy often from overseas like drugstore(dot)com, nordstrom(dot)com etc?

I buy stuff from online stores all the time and even from oversees suppliers. Online shopping scams have become quite common lately, so I agree that it is important to shop with caution. By virtue of being online merchant myself, I know a thing or two when it comes to finding reliable online stores. Before you buy anything online, check to see how long the store has been in operation. You can get this information from the website's About US page. This precaution however may not be enough. Make sure also to read testimonials from other independent sources. A good online store should have a solid online presence.
