I juz dun feel happy here tats why I feel like ooc-inch. I juz need some answers..

mentality is one important aspect. no point training an unmotivated leader. that why when in bmt, they are recuit whether they are interested in command school or not

i dun think OCS stop ppl from OOC-ing, since they always ask ppl if people want to OOC when they get posted in

they dun want officers who are forced to be officers

mind sharing what in ocs is making you so unhappy about?

I feel really depressed becoz I can't get to spend time with my families every weekend. They are always burned.. I dun like how they rush us to do things, always feeling stressed when I'm in here. And I juz seem lost everyday..

well, OCS is like that, especially if your wing training coordinator is new or not very good at his job. from what u say, means your wing's training grounds are only assigned during the weekends.

about the rushing, is because your wing "movement" slow or the lessons jam up? there was a point in time, my wing only had 5 mins for meals, that is include of dropping the meal chips. So we started to skip meals and the instructors noticed and talked to us. than wing commander help us talk to the instructors to make sure we are given time to move from training location to location.

and I have to be frank with you, some wing trainers, they stress you on purpose. you must be able to sweat it and focus on the big stuff. what is your objective for the day? in future, when you lead a platoon on a mission. its just you, 22 men look at you, thats why u cannot stress and cannot be lost.

anyway, since u crossover, I believe you have the ability to excel. I also believe OCS is a good experience for most people. besides, keep in mind, whatever you are facing now will be gone in a few months. Talk to your pc again and rethink about ooc.

What happen after you OOC

After you OOC , you will go into a place called AFT ( which is a department in safti MI)

what you do there?
> do flag raising or lowering
> flag raising is damn early so u might have to stay overnight in the office
> but u get to book out everyday
> sometime u also have to go outfield to be opfor

if not most of the time u are sleeping in the office, go canteen or go gym

then u have to wait until mass posting season ( After bmt pop )

during the posting season, u might get posted to be trooper, storeman , clerk or medic.

In ocs
ooc during CLM = private
service term = LCP
pro term = LCP/CPL
joint term = 3sgt

Source
I was occ-ed due to medical issue. Stayed in AFT ( do sai-kang ) for few mths. Recourse . Now ORD as an armour officer.

the only advise i can give you is

Recall why you wanna crossover in the first place.

When i always wanna give up during tough time, i will always remind myself why i wanna recourse in the first place.

good luck

Yeah. Esp in armour, I still remember seeing other formation cadets packing their brunei oversea training kit bag in shelter while we did it at the parade square.

Before i could cry finish about leaving my service term wing. They asked me to knock it down and do jumping jacks liao :s12:

What the heck is joint term?

Joint term is after professional term where all formation cadets come back to SAFTI MI. Some of the activities are like
-commissioning parade rehearsal.( change from combat boots to parade boots with metal stud under your boots) its very slippery and uncomfortable to wear so its will save your life if u choose the correct size.

-ACPC ( Getting officer sword and dinner )
During dinner, we must display table manners which will be taught in one of the talk

-A lot of talks ( Medical talk which address the issue of mental illness and is there such thing as down grade because of declaration of gay and many more)
(how to be defending officer in court <Law>)
