Guys, since fuel prices are still relatively low compared to historical prices, is it not wise to lock in the best deal with OEM rather than go with SPWS? With covid largely behind, the fuel prices are expected to reach the normal price levels and since fuel price is one of the major component that EMA uses to regulate the tariff, I expect the prices of both regulated and wholesale to inch higher this year.

The low prices seen in the SPWS last couple of months are perhaps because of low fuel prices, but I am not entirely sure. If anyone have other opinions, please share.

"covid largely behind"? LOL

I think you are largely misinformed lol. If u think prices will go up then just go oem, there will be those who think ws prices will continue to stay low n just continue. Anyway the good thing about ws price is you can change plan or supplier anytime since there's no contract

I am in the midst of applying SP Wholesale. Typically would you go for Residential Load Profile or Advanced Metering Infrastructure?

if most of your usage is at peak hours, then it is cheaper to go for load profile.

non-peak hour is from 11pm to 7 am

Yeah I opted for load profile. seems more straight forward. Anyway now WFH, so 8am-6pm is probably switching on PC, fans, TVs etc ie the most intense usage

show us the bill when you received it next month.

I would like to know whether they charged you for meter reading.

for ami, we need to pay a fee dollars per month for meter reading

Think u can inform them inadvance that u are not going to renew their contract. For my case, I signup Sembcorp Power about 2 mths before my contract ends. The moments I signup with Sembcorp Power they informed Geneco on my behalf. Then I received the email from Geneco that they will transfer my ac once my contract expired.

Again, people are not listening. Already said no asking/sharing of referral codes.

Better to ban those who post code or ask for codes.
