ok, I really hope people don't try to cheat by taking a photo today, and send it next week as their reading, hoping to save one week under the Wholesale rate.
Ya. We must let Gencos and SP maximise their profit, nevermind if consumers are paying way more.

The earliest date for me to convert back to SP Regulated Tariff rate wef on 21 Oct (the earliest date that I can choose). Can I apply OEM now or I have to wait till 21 Oct to apply?

ok, managed to reach someone via app. will receive an sms to submit reading prior to the switch.
Sadly no way to bring forward the switching date.
Your last meter reading is required to make the switch. Your retailer will advise you on how and when to submit your meter reading. Alternatively, SP Group will estimate it for you. :censored:

hopefully, people won't take advantage of this and submit a lower reading under the higher wholesale rate.
Yes.. We must ensure that gencos and SP Group maximise their profits. Consumers must suffer max!

And when SP overestimate our usage, (they take an estimate every other month), this is not called taking advantage but a honest mistake.

Don't be silly la

Generators meant to put in their schedule when they have planned maintenance. From what i hear, right now Senoko between 5th Oct to 15th Oct got anticipated major equipment outage. PowerSeraya also got anticipated issues between 9th Oct and 24th Oct. maybe have 1 -2 more generators got issue. but not sure. past few days heard tuaspower got issues.

all these all hear only ah..
Pacificlight also have scheduled maintenance ;);)

Jin satki man this tiagong. Knew exactly when to anticipate issues before they even happen :s13:

Swee swee like clockwork one after another got genco issues :s12:

i think the spot market participants all know ahead of time the planned capacities reduction in the various outage plans released by all the gencos. during such periods, ratio of total generation capacity vs demand already down from maybe say for example 2 times to 1.5 times. throw in the forced outages not in the plans and the ratio comes down to maybe 1.1 times. there goes the usep rocket. just my wild speculation. lol. from geneco's afternoon to evening price revision yesterday, looks like they also got caught flat footed.
