The most puzzling part of all, in their final notice there is a figure of $2XX.XX, this figure came from nowhere when I question them to justify the figure via bills which they do not have.

Anyhow put $ sum in final notice just to make consumer swallow?

I will enquire EMA of this issue since CASE no reply/call..

It's best to enquire EMA. Tell CASE too. So many problems. Phantom of guessing figures..

For those yet to switch to an electricity provider, what are you waiting for? Almost 40% of the people had switched over. SP electricity prices fluctuate and changes every quarterly. So get your discount or fixed rate fixed, get cheaper electricity.

If you are unsure and got doubts, just let us know where. Or you can PM me and I'll be glad to share with you. With Ohm, you get the same SP paper bills just as per usual.

It has always been this bad, just that ppl don't listen and went for the cheapest rate.

People just blindly want the cheapest of the cheapest. Other things not inside consideration. Typical ai pi ai qi.

Yup. I recalled having a long discussion with Mike about their customer service, or rather lack of, but he was insistence on it being not important.

Luckily I went for Tuas Power. Not the best rebate available, but having be painless for the past 5 months or so. And customer service very responsive.

sorry, which provider you were with previously before Tuas Power? Customer service is still important, wait till people got billing error, then you will understand what is CS.

still happy with cheapest (when i signed up). cheap cheap good good

Please remove your referral code from your signature as it is against forum rules. Otherwise points might be awarded.

Tuas Power is the first oem that I signed up with since my area opened up in April.

My contract with Ohm is ending in early Jan 2020, and I'm planning to change to Sembcorp's Sunshine Plan to 1) get the free AMI meter and 2) do my little bit to help the environment.

Should I sign up now, or wait till closer to the date? I haven't received any renewal offer from Ohm and anyway their renewal offer on the website is not very enticing.

Actually, the renewal bonus is available on their promotion page which I have mentioned previously. Other than that, maybe you can wait for their CNY promo?

With regards to AMI meter, your old meter will be changed soon for free. SP is doing an island-wide change of old analogue meters to AMI. However, it will be by phases. SP don't mention the timeline, but it will be slowly changed out.

How can the sunshine plan save the environment? Actually hor, if want to save the environment, use less electricity, don't on aircon. Pay lesser hence less natural gas/ coal needed to generate electricity.

For me, I renewed my ohm at the start of the year. Don't find the need to switch as there the differences is very minimal. No worth the effort to switch. Somemore, sembcorp uses separate billing, you need to arrange payment again.
