Those who switched back to SP group, did you receive any letter asking you to pay the security deposit again?

Before OEM started, I believe we are required to make a $100 security deposit when you open a utilities account with SP.

Then I switched over to OHM when OEM launched, and they didn't require me to pay any security deposit as far as I remember.

Now I am switching out to SP wholesale and received a letter asking me to make a security deposit payment of $65.

Is this normal? All along I thought the security deposit is always with SP group. I don't see any deduction made by OHM/SP from the security deposit.

The monthly bill sent by SP every month always show the deposit as $100 still even when I switched to OHM previously. Why is there a need for another deposit? Anyone with same case?

I think your deposit might have been used to offset the final bill.

2.Can I transfer the security deposit from my existing retailer to my new retailer?

Please check with your existing retailer on the treatment of your security deposit with them. Depending on your contract agreement, your existing retailer may use the security deposit collected to offset your final bill. Any remaining amount will be refunded to you no later than 30 days from the settlement of your final bill. The mode of the security deposit refund will depend on your existing retailer.

SP got back and said that I don't have to pay the deposit. I think cos there's no outstanding so the security deposit wasn't used.

just received paper bill for ohm after auto-renew 1 year at slightly higher rate ...... but the bill don't have the renewal discount !?!?!

From Ohm website:

If you renew on Fixed Ohm:
· 6-month Fixed Ohm - 3% off 3 electricity bills*
· 12-month Fixed Ohm - 4% off 6 electricity bills*
· 24-month Fixed Ohm - 5% off 12 electricity bills*

* Bonus will apply from the month following the end of your trial period

If you renew on Ohm Discount:
· 6-month Ohm Discount - Additional 1% discount on prevailing 6-month Ohm Discount rate (at point of renewal) throughout Supply Term
· 12-month Ohm Discount - Additional 1.5% discount on prevailing 12-month Ohm Discount rate (at point of renewal) throughout Supply Term

So many people using Tuas power?

Is this the first choice? I can't see the vote result.

For Tuas power fix rated, how does it works? What if the electricity consumption exit the allowances like mobile data exceed what it is free for, will there be extra charges?
