Is there really a need to open a Malaysia bank account why not just use touch and go (TNG) to settle all the problems.
The maximum balance you can store on TNG eWallet is RM200 (Lite), RM5,000 (Pro) and RM20,000 (Premium). The monthly transaction limit is RM2000 (Lite), RM5,000 (Pro) and RM25,000 (Premium). It may be insufficient for some.

How about using trust card to withdraw cash? Or you need to do direct transfer to somebody, like to buy a house there.

For large overseas payments, it's best to pay the seller directly via bank telegraphic transfer.

I would want to renew, and will.

We'll never know what new patterns those companies will come up with. Yes, even with accessibility to TnG eWallet.

Don't you transfer to the RM account before heading to the ATM? And the transfer/conversion won't happen until you choose to go ahead?

Been a while since I've touched the app, so I can't remember the details. I transferred well beforehand just to let the RM sit in case I need to suddenly escape north :s34:

Just went into the app to check. Able to see the exchange rate (4.4856 a while ago) and given 3 mins to go ahead with the transfer from SGD to MYR account.

Personally, I should think so coz all correspondence that I got were from KL... Unless your ID/passport info in their system isn't updated.

Wow thanks. The branch ppl tell me 2 months before then no extra charge. Maybe I see if i can wake up tmr go jb do
Ok, bank staff said 2 months then no charge, otherwise RM12.

Guess if you happen to be there and don't want to incur future transport expense and time, then just go pay the RM12 if more than 2 months?

Passport, NRIC, and existing debit card.

If yours is an account opened from SG, and you go to other branches other than Jalan Kuning, they want to see and photocopy another ID or credit debit card that has your name as well.

You meant don't use debit card but top up TnG from account? I've never done that so can't advise.

Or you meant don't use TnG card but top up eWallet, then Yes.
