Hi can anyone advise me about opening a CIMB MY account.Currently not holding any CIMB SG account.Thank u.
i went over to their branch at pelangi with my old passport and new passport.. i didnt bring my debit card nor IC cos our passport already has our IC number..done within 1 min. they'll print out a form on the spot and we signed it. thats allMy passport is expiring this year.
Last week, I got my new passport, so need to update my new passport details for my CIMB MY a/c.
Yesterday, the CIMB SG branch reluctantly helped me to courier the paperwork to the MY branch.
They tld me most likely the Malaysia branch will ignore the paperwork sent and I will need to do the follow up myself.
After 14 working days, I will share again the outcome.
recommend you open a CIMB SG account first, to facilitate CIMB SG SGD >> CIMB MY MYR transfers eventuallyHi can anyone advise me about opening a CIMB MY account.Currently not holding any CIMB SG account.Thank u.
does the Airasia debit card have the mastercard/visa functionality ? thanksSharing my recent experience opening a CIMB MY account by CIMB SG @ Raffles place branch.
The below info was shared to me when I asked the CIMB bank staff who served me.
1. Need to book an appointment prior to going down to open a CIMB MY acct.
2. CIMB SG helps you to open a CIMB MY account by filling in the forms, verifying your details and sending them to CIMB MY for approval. You will need to bring your NRIC and Passport, ensure the PP expiry is not less than 6 months.
3. The CIMB MY account is "AirAsia savers" account. Annual fee is RM15 which is the cheapest among the rest.
4. CIMB MY account will closed once your passport expires.
5. To ensure CIMB MY account not closed prematurely, you have two options:
a. Go to CIMB MY bank, show them your old and new passport, so that they can update your CIMB MY account details.
b. Go to CIMB SG branch, tell them to assist you to update your CIMB MY account, they will assist you to fill in a form and submit to CIMB MY for approval.
6. CIMB SG don't accept RM for deposit. You will have to transfer SGD to RM via I-banking (CIMB Clicks SG app)
7. Only one CIMB MY debit card issued per account. Can't request for two or more.
If anyone has more to add to help others, please do so. Thanks.
Hi,Just wanted to check now that borders are open. Anyone opened UOB account recently in Malaysia?
is there a $10k daily transfer limit on your malaysia account due to a non-resident account? any idea to remove this limit?
for CIMB MY:
debit card: RM20k per day
ATM withdrawal: RM 10k per day
Online funds transfers:
3rd Party or any DuitNow: RM50k
DuitNow QR: RM 10k
Doesn’t mention limits for online purchases
Those with CIMB debit card, do note that you'll have to activate the Card-not-present to use for online activity.
e.g. e-wallet.
have to call in and activate or sms (which didnt work for me on my sg number)..
Thank you!Best is to wait for MY account activation, once activated can do transfer and immediately check the balance.
If you are talking about topping up tng card via tng app, revolut doesnt work for me, haven't tried on trust but YouTrip card works!Hi there,
I want to top up touch and go, what is the best approach, can cash do it? I realised trust bank doesn't work on this except for my DBS credit card. Can grab do this?
Alternatively is opening a bank account easy?
Just use trust card.Is it necessary to have cimb sg-Malaysia account to take advantage of the atm/ good rates or better to use revolut and youtrip etc?
Huh? So cui cardJust use trust card.
