See my previous posts.

Need to wait for OCBC MY to call youz answer 1 question wrong also waste time, need wait for next call again.

For CIMB SG after you apply CIMB SG account and activate.
I understand that there is no fees for the account. But there is a RM15 annual fee for the debit card. I don't need the debit card. Can I apply just the CIMB MY account to use the duitnow only?

They dont charge any fee for having a Malaysian account. You will need to have a SG CIMB account 1st.
But they do charge a RM15 annual fee for the debit/ATM card.

They will just send you the Debit/atm card.. I not sure if it could work as in you say you dont need the card..

Cannot cancel the ATM card, I asked before at Singapore CIMB branch. It comes with the account. But RM15 annually is still cheaper than the 1% TnG charges me for my top up to their e-wallet.

Using cimb to top up? Will Maybank have the same approach? Open Maybank SG then they open a Maybank my account?

i dunno about Maybank. the last time i research it seems harder and need personally go in to malaysia Maybank branch.
Than i compare the rate.. Always CIMB win handsdown vs maybank..

So i just use the CIMB route and never turn back.

A quick run down.

1. Go down CIMB SG to open your CIMB SG account. at the same time inform them you want to have a CIMB Malaysia account.
2. After 2 weeks - Malaysia ATM card (courier by DHL)
3. Proceed with linking SG and MY CIMB Account (done within the SG CIMB click APP)
4. Transferred min fund, and Debit card is ready to use
5. You can view from CIMB SG click APP on both SG/MY account details.
6. Good for you to download CIMB MY OCTO app than you can use the Duit transfer.

No forex charges, its just the transfer rate of CIMB which is quite okay comparing with Youtrip. CONFIRM better than other POSB etc etc bank.
SG CIMB APP = CIMB CLICK
MY CIMB APP = CIMB OCTO MY

Yes, CIMB top up TnG e wallet versus revolut/youtrip/wise top TnG e wallet.
RHB, Maybank, CIMB- only CIMB can open cross border account in Singapore. Information correct as of early this year. You can call Maybank and find out. That’s how I did it.

no correct Answer for each..
Some 1 year topup more than 1.5k SGD..
Some 1 year topup more than 10K SGD..
Some 1 year topup less than 500SGD..
Some spend 1 year maybe 10 or 20 or 30k SGD in malaysia..
Some like the convenience, some dont like to go money changer..

I think many different ppl different need bah.
so you judge yourself and see worth or not for you.

Then OCBC it shall be. Remember to update https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/threads/official-thread-ringgit-exchange-rate-part-2.5807621/ when you top up TnG e wallet via OCBC. Curious to see their exchange rate competitive or not. Don’t think I’ve ever seen it on that thread before.
