Tried the camera today at Oppo store the camera really cmi compare with my s23u… but consider the productivity and the lightweight I guess have to suck thumbs
idk why one would want to pay $2k thereabouts for a device which is "compromised"... to pay so much for a phone, I would demand a certain standard for it, rather than accepting the shortcomings, in particular when it comes to camera, unless one hardly uses it.

so I think those who really care about mobile photography will say no to the phone. it's a pity though, the other areas of the phone are top notch (well maybe except the 7-core).

Since I only take portrait photos of the kids during weekend outings, photography would only take up about 20% of the time. The other 80% would be more focused on productivity and flexibility—like handling minor work tasks, checking emails, reading articles or guidelines, which is super helpful. Plus, I can remotely access my work laptop to copy files or reach internal websites/services that I usually can’t access without it. Before, if a customer needed something urgently, I’d have to rush home to get it done. Now, I can just remote in, retrieve the files, or respond directly. It’s way more convenient for my use case!

So, looking at it this way, I feel like I can cope a bit with the compromise on the camera—at least, that’s what I’m hoping. Let’s see how it goes!

Tried out the 3x telephoto camera at the store. No contest when compared to the N3's telephoto (capture less details). But N5's telephoto can do macro shots which will be good for capturing food. The main camera's quality looks rather close to the N3's.

It’s all about expectation. Like you expect a 2k phone to have top notch everything, I manage my own expectations cos I know this is a foldable. To maintain its size etc, some compromise has to happen.

for me when I tried the camera out at the shop, snap random pics, it was fine. I’d be happy with it. Things only start to fall apart when you do A \B testing and pixel peep.

right now,as a foldable, all areas which matter are superb, camera? 8.5\10

I do care about mobile photography and I do restraint myself from commenting too much over it....cause it's such an individual taste as far as beauty is concerned to each and owns eyes/taste.

Not just big sensor win all the time....and example of full frame DSLR , higher dof sometime makes it hard keep all object sharp especially in big group photo when someone standing behind compare to someone standing in front during average lighting scenario like indoor ,unless with bright lighting and really high aperture .....i can go on and on in this aspect but it's really pointless.

So it really depends on the situation and type of photography one takes....

And maybe 2k is just loose change to some.....🙃
