zoom: 200mp 1/1.28" @ 3x or 50mp 1/2.75" @ 10x vs. 200mp 1/1.56" @ 10x optical with teleconverter
ultrawide: 50mp 1/1.95" vs 200mp 1/1.56"

if one don't mind carrying along the teleconverter for serious photography, it might be a better pick than x9 ultra (and less expensive?)

oh but I'm not sure about this Dimensity chip though... too used to Snapdragon...

I don't pak game so graphics chip doesn't matter for me.

But for those already have the X9U with explorer kit like me probably do not need this. And e 3x tele is literally the same as X9Pro, just having better ultrawide. Also, my previous experience with X9Pro with tele is that i do not actually bring my tele out 99% of the time except during the initial curious testing period. After that, i find it a hassle to bring the case+adaptor cover+lens out seperately. And currently using X9U, by itself really covers alot of range. Then about X9U tele it should be miles better than the HP5 with 200mm converter lens, and the X9U by default is 300mm using the OV52A. And my X9U explorer kit is still sealed from day 1 lol.
And about the price, it really is highly possible that its gonna be about the same price as X9U, looking at how Vivo's CN pricing, the 1tb photographer kit is about the same price as local X300U MSRP without photography kit. Oppo's price should be very similar

wanted a separate phone mainly for camera since I'm using the n6, which is ok-ish for near object photography but not really that great for group photos or landscape scenary...

I doubt x10 ultra next year will be any bigger jump (the 200mp + bigger 1/1.56" sensor for ultrawide is the biggest 'upgrade' in my opinion). and I find a bit extra to have 2 telephoto lens in the same phone (adding to the weight), assuming x10 ultra has the same number of lenses as x9 ultra.

i won't mind carrying the teleconverter along so when needed I can shoot 10x optical at 200mp with 1/1.56" lens. It should be much better than x9 ultra's native 10x lens at 50mp with 1/2.75". trade off is to have it as a carry-on an also time to plug into the adaptor, yeah. so not for in-the-moment photography...

tbh i am liking my x9pro over the ultra and vivos mainly for the lesser cam bulge actually. About the tele really is up to individual, and u nv had previous exp with external phone lens and its hassle, i am just sharing my own personal exp with it. TBH if u are talking about needing an ultrawide without needing the inbuilt 10x why not consider Vivo X300U too. I have made my decision of my X9U purchase for my use scenario, and looking at the X10PM and X500PM i am most probably not changing for now

OPPO's official Find X10 specification page confirms the 200MP main camera, 200MP telephoto, 144Hz display, Dimensity 9600M, 8,000mAh battery and 80W/50W charging. The X9 Pro has a 50MP 1/1.28" main camera, 200MP 70mm telephoto and 7,500mAh battery.

Camera: X10 has the more interesting setup

This is where the X10 makes a big generational jump.

The X9 Pro's 50MP 1/1.28" main sensor is actually very large and is likely to remain excellent for normal photography. But the X10 moves to:

200MP + 1/1.4" + f/1.6 main camera

That's a considerably more ambitious main-camera configuration.

And both have a 200MP 1/1.56" telephoto, so the X10 doesn't sacrifice the X9 Pro's excellent zoom hardware. The difference is:

X10: 65mm / 2.8×

X9 Pro: 70mm / 3×


The X9 Pro therefore has a slightly longer native telephoto reach, but the X10's 200MP sensor gives it plenty of cropping capability.

Considering the X10 is also 8g lighter, that's quite impressive.

The X10's Dimensity 9600M is newer than the X9 Pro's Dimensity 9500.

So I would expect:

The interesting part

The Find X10 is actually quite impressive because it is smaller and lighter while simultaneously having an 8,000mAh battery and 200MP main + 200MP telephoto cameras.

The X9 Pro remains a very strong phone—the 1/1.28" main sensor and 200MP 3× telephoto are excellent—but if you're choosing between the two at similar prices, I would choose the Find X10.

And given that you previously told me you're particularly interested in camera/telephoto performance and gaming, I'd lean even more strongly toward the X10 for your use.

One caveat: the X10 information in your screenshot is for the newly announced China model, and its international/Singapore configuration may differ. The X10 series was only officially unveiled on September 22, 2026.
