I'm thinking on getting this.
as well as meizu 5 pro.
the latter cost more but it has better battery life, much better audio quality and maybe camera too. hesitating due to the physical home button like iPhone/Samsung.

used set, $550. mobile hardware
brand new maybe you can find $600 on carousell.
the OS just like iPhone, but i have installed nova launcher so it does not really matter.

review? here

last time when i was using iPhone 4, the home button spoiled after 2 years.
sent to 3rd party shop for repairing, $40.
not about the money, but just like you, i am too used to non-physical button.
recently i have sold iPhone 6s plus because i am tired of '2 steps' to home screen via the assistive touch.

What kind of sorcery is that? !

as long as you are not using any badly coded app, it can be done.
I don't play game,my usage is purely music over earphone, surfing an old version of UC mini browser, some on carousell/OkCupid/WhatsApp.
100% mobile data.
65hrs of standby.
trying to see whether can break GSMarena official record of 94hrs.
SOT no problem hitting 10hrs.

frankly speaking, not only this is the first Oppo phone I'm using,
but also the first phablet to have such a stellar battery life. even better than my Sony Z3.
even Huawei ascend mate 7 lost to it as the standby not as good.

Wow 15 hours of SOT O.O

I can't reach that, but I can vouch for the 7 plus incredible batt life.

Using my 7 plus(color os launcher) with a pebble time, bluetooth headset streaming, watching videos(mostly), surfing on chrome, whatsapp, push email, calls. I'm usually able to reach more than 6 hrs(sometimes past 7 hrs) SOT. On top of that, VOOC makes charging a lot faster than other high capacity phone.

7" is big
6" is normal
5.7" is okay
5.5" is small

:s13:

At least get a 5.5 inch or 5.7 inch screen size will be good enough...depending on how the mobile phone company make the screen appearance. If there is no actual button at the base but all controls are on the below screen, than the actual screen size will be smaller...

Example a 5.5 inch with the control buttons inside the screen base (this eat up about 0.5 inch of the screen below), so the effective screen size is about 5 inch only and if the control button is at the base panel than the effective screen size will be the full 5.5 inch.

R7+ is indeed slurpee. Always looking for battery monster :s22: but this brings it to a whole new level.

considered good.
i can't compare it with you since i don't use BT headset and watching videos/push emails.
but i can vouch that if you are using a good coded browser, your SOT might be >8hrs.
example like ,UC mini/opera mini browser.

chrome is very fast but alot of leak memory.

the SOT damn imba! haha this make me interested to get it but the size like a bit big after testing it at the Suntec store

my mum and i find it rather light.
the weight distributes well on the body.

15hrs SOT including the time the phone was left to idle.
but it's safe to say that 12hrs SOT can be achieved because of my light usage. no gaming no video.
