Thinking of this too, saw some people selling on carousell for 600. R9 is 450.

Really love the R9 fast charging feature, useful for when you need a quick charging boost before you leave the house. Fingerprint unlock feature very snappy especially from someone coming from the iPhone 5S.

Software is pretty zippy and suits my needs with the exception of a lack of app badge notifications which is actually an iOS feature.

In-built 64GB internal storage allows me to store lots of Korean dramas such that it is enough to make me ditch my Google Nexus 2013 4G tablet.

Battery life is also great such that it can last me a whole day even when I'm watching my dramas. I avoid overnight charging since it only takes less than an hour for a full charge which I can do so the next morning when I wake up.

Only drawback is the lousy camera, the back camera does not seem to have OIS in-built. Luckily I am not a huge snapper.
I also dislike the big 5.5 inch screen which I find it very troublesome for jeans pockets as well as car door holders.

If night photography is for you, don't bother to get this phone. It does not even have OIS in-built.

Notifications hit-and-miss. So far, for Whatsapp, Instagram and Facebook, they are working as they should. I use Outlook app heavily and notifications don't appear at the top so it is a little bit of inconvenience for me as I don't know if there are new mails incoming. Overall notifications for me still not perfect as I prefer the iOS feature of notification app badges.

Oppo is famous or promoting itself as a selfie phone, so maybe use the front camera to take instead?

Got Led. It only blinks when there are messages. But wont light up during changing.

Not too sure will it affect the Singapore market, but in China, the popularity of Oppo R9 has resulted in a lack of Samsung AMOLED display stock for the R9 thus there will be a new R9 model, the R9km, now equipped with a JDI LCD display.
The thickness of the phone will increase by 0.35mm, as compared with the AMOLED R9.
