Just curious how many iphone 15/16 users here set the phone to a specific charging limit eg 80%, 90% and what’s the perceived benefit over leaving it as optimised battery charging?
I do the latter as my phone ultimately still gets charged to 100% just that charging is supposedly slower after 80% except “slow” is still quite fast on my 16 PM which Is fine i guess, not complaining.
But i notice optimised battery charging is a bit different on Watch 10 as it cuts off at 80%. So the so called optimised charging on Watch is more like manually setting the cut off limit to 80% like what one might do on iphone.
Kinda strange actually since optimised battery charging on iphone slows it down after 80% not cuts off but optimised battery charging on Watch cuts off at 80%.
I guess the question is, has anyone noticed whether using optimised charging or setting 80 or 90% limit actually prolong battery health?
