Does anyone here ORD as a recruit?
why serving significant time in DB cannot promote to at least PTE? I thought ur service will be extended so the time frame will be the same?Yes, there are cases where people ORD as recruit due to not completing their BMT or served significant time in DB.
You are not alone.

eh regardless of how long u serve DB, as long as u complete BMT in some shape or form, u should be promoted ain't it? if you are referring to thatAll promotions goes through your PC level officer for 3SG ranks and below at least. If you served significant time in DB, do you think your PC will even recommend you for promotion?
Promotion has nothing to with time, it comes with completion of specializing course in your vocation.
This is through experience or conjecture based on hear say? That is subjective where most people think it is natural to be promoted from REC to PTE after completion of BMT.
As I mentioned, this is through recommendations of PC or OC level officers. If one is a hardcore offender and serve long term DB sentence, no officer will be in the right mind to recommend.
Recommending promotion comes with reasons to support. If you talking about normal cases, of course if you complete your course and you hit the minimum timeframe, definitely will be promoted.
It's been 2years plus since I ord-ed as a recruit perm pes C2L2. Received no reservice letter nor heard news from mindef. Seems like army won't waste resources sending recruits back to unit to complete ICT.

The recommendation portion is of experience.

Maybe ur experience is restricted
proof by example is not proof.Since you sound so experienced, why not sharing instead of commenting on irrelevant stuffs?
Maybe ur experience is restricted
Well I am telling u your experience is not necessary the case for everybody lor.Aiyoh reddevil, don't act expert when you know nuts.
If you really know you would have shared something. I am not asking you to post with evidences or links. Just share what you know since you sounded like you knew more then I do.
No one is asking you to be ABSOLUTELY correct since different units work slightly differently.
Quoted from you.
Well I am telling u your experience is not necessary the case for everybody lor.
Proof by contradiction
As I said, proof by example is no proof. Your logic is based on example. There isn't contradiction? It's by pure logic...
if you have better logic, you can state it, don't counter argue people's statement when you can't even contribute.
Thank you.
