Wah, Titan X just launched yesterday nia........:s13::s13:

But wait, the article is focusing on compute performance, not gaming performance. Given the DP performance of Maxwell, its not surprising.

So don't expect the next titan to be anywhere near 10x that of titan x. If can be 30-50% faster, considered very good.

yeah its true... on other side we dont know what gonna happen in 2016.... this is just an article about pascal... we just wait and relax... cheers...

Yea, anything can happen. But I believe Nvidia will not release a product thats 10x faster than Maxwell (in terms of gaming performance) next year due to business reasons. For compute performance I believe as they have skipped Maxwell for DP performance.

Cause if Nvidia really have a product that is 10x faster than Maxwell, they will spread it out over a few generations. Each generation 50% faster. This will make more sense in business.

This is more of a Quadro card niche - not mainstream and not cheap either lol.

Well, taking a good look at the "soon to be release" games or games a few years ago.

Consoles are the problems.

Name me blockbuster hits in the gaming world, not released for consoles.

In before Gattberserk starts to rant about its price point...

So i officially becomes a joke in this forum? Do u see me posting a long list of ranting when the 980s were release...

Maybe i shld be happy that nvida shld charge 3k or more for their pricing so fanboys can all go slurp it up. Well since they can afford it they help us to sustain nvidia growth. Once that is done they slash price drastically within months like the case of titan z where it drop to below 1/2 the msrp.

At least amd hasnt truly forgotten what it mean by best value for money. With my only grip being they have tendency to push back their product, giving nvidia that opportunity.

Well, I think your points are generally valid, but if you feel strongly about this, it might be more worthwhile to start a petition on change.org and ask for support from others to boycott NV products until and unless they push out products at a more reasonable price...at least then your efforts might convert into something more productive instead of merely attracting the ire of some forum members. Just a suggestion, buddy!

Anyway just to OT

Initially being exposed to this local hardware tech forum back in 2003, together with VR zone, I joined the latter for a few years since 2004, learning all my hardware stuff and info scratch through there. However VRZ didnt feel especially active as posting normally take longer time and in the end I jump ship and came over to HWZ after 4 years as I see how warm the community over here used to be. This was the distinct cozy place that is stark difference toward EDMW.

Over time I made many great friend back den like cty lemon pa97 and many others where we often engage in good discussion, with constant bbq organisation to allow us to mingle together. However over the years I have seen that very warmness is starting to erode away. Having to exposed to many other tech forward online, HWC generally is starting to gear toward linus techtip forum where personal bashing and online fanboyism is common. I went over to overclocker.net and realised how friendly the community over there is, and alot of good healthy debate going on without resorting to bashing one another on personal level. There were heated comment but labelling on others were extremely rare. (at least from what I have seen so far)

Somehow those, I find myself in a hostility in HWC that is far worst than any other online forum I registered myself to, and probably worst than in EDMW (at least in EDMW I haven got humiliated so far). There were people who even dig out my post from the past and start criticizing, doing smiliar thing to what EDMW people are doing on some of the infamous people.

Generally I have learn alot though this forum together with VRZ, unfortunately though I probably find myself not quite belonging here as I am someone who is extremely specfic for value for money. As I understand back to the days since the FX 5900s that the flagship were never meant to be value for money, the inflation that shot up within the past 3 years has made me felt a worrying trend that decent PC upgrading (not budget kind) is become more of a luxury than a good value alternative, not just the company but the entire PC building society as well (more and more ppl flaunting having a godly PC or making one that is like the Large Pixel collider.etc). Since my ideal clash with most of the online luxury people here, I am being singled out and even has a photo of my online name posted telling me to "study hard" where it has absolute no link to any of the forementioned technology discussion. This does make me wonder if HWC is any different from EDMW at times.

Just to quote a old member that stood in my defense yesterday and said something that I felt strongly to (and I am really thankful for it).

Technology discussion need to descend down to personal attacks?

And so, probably its time to take my leave from my forum for everyone good, and learn more about HW tech in some other community where it is more suited for me. PC building is always and will be my passion, and I will not give up just becz price has been gearing up recently (somehow 5K PC nowaday isnt considered super high end alr). I will be posting less post from now on, and probably just made one last thread before I take my leave for good. Thanks everyone for the guidance for the past.

Sorry for the long post.
