never used grab services in pattaya ...
not much cab there compared to bangkok
ppl normally use lorry pickup as their form of "taxi" to travel around

Grab car in Pattaya is more expensive then in Bangkok.

For eg. From Central Festival to Hollywood is about 180 - 200 baht for just like 6km distance.

You can negotiate with the Songtaew drivers for such cases. If you speak Thai sometimes the prices can be low like 100 baht.


Alternatively, if you are season with the roads and route that the songtaew drive. You can just travel around for 10 baht per person.

normally cheapest is abt 600b, after giving few quotes by diff drivers
have chosen the 800b lady ... her charges more expensive, however review nt bad ... her is nam ...
the trip is abt 1.5hrs one way if u r staying near central festival area

we booked her two way transfer ...
then also 3hrs day tour for abt 500b ...

normally the airport transfer, she would get another people to drive us.
she would send you the face image of the driver to u
normally they drive quite fast
they speed up to 120 ... cox the distance too far ...

Pattaya is quite safe, lah. No issue at all. Having said that, you still need to be careful. Like they said, low crime doesn't mean no crime. Hahaha...... I was there in March and stayed in Baywalk Residence, besides the shopping mall - Royal Garden Plaza. Had a wonderful time and would definitely go again. If you like cocktail, try those mobile cocktail stall along Beach Road at night. Quite cheap - RM250 (S$10) a bucket, which is more than enough for 2 persons to share.

average normally about 50+sgd ...

for pattaya there are few hotels near central festival ...
about 40+ to 50+ sgd per nite onwards for two , some with breakfast
few minutes walk to central festival mall ...
