Hard Rock girl friendly or not? Can rock whole night

pattaya i believe is more for drinking? haha. a lot of place to drink![]()
jus back from pattaya so expand on dede's utapao airport transfer info:
actually the shuttle from utapao to pattaya is 250b per pax, not 1000b.
the main difference is this : if u book a private car (800b from Nam), it seats 4-5 and it takes you direct to your hotel (abt 1.5hr dep on traffic)
if you book the shuttle at the airport counter, you wait for a full minivan/bus load b4 it moves off and if you are really tat 'lucky' you may be the last pax to disembark at your hotel 2-3hrs later...
so the choice is obvious if you have 4-5 in your grp but it is not so clear cut if u only have 2-3 pax.
*will share more abt my trip when time permits.
now is it no more from sg fly str8 to the beach? always is no tic lei...
Pattaya stay around let say 2-3 days, will it be enough??
will be venturing down from bkk![]()

U guy or girl? If girl, 3 days is enough to sight see all the temples, attractions, city tour and Island tour.
Normally 3 days would be enough ...
one way from bangkok is about 2 hours drive ...
You can consider staying near central festival pattaya area
there are many 3* hotels around 40+sgd per nite for two
they are just few min walk from the mall
if you wanna splurge abit more, can stay hilton hotel, on top of the mall ...
couple of 2, 3 days in pattaya is good enough right?? the rest of our 6 days can be spend on bkk and mabe another place? any suggestion ?? thanks for your inputs.
you meant drive as in taking private car down to pattaya?? another option would be train right? is taking train all right as in safety and comfort issues?
we thought of the 3* hotels near the central festival area as it is pretty cheap per night. any recommendations for it? thanks for your inputs.

Your mini-bus is referring to the pick up lorry right ?
Where many people hop on to , by paying 10b or more ...
like the 70s like that ...

That is baht bus, don't think they have this from bkk to pattaya. Can't imagine if that lorry half way broke down then how
The mini bus is a van where u can buy ticket at the bus station (or victory monument formerly). Took once before and swear never to take it again to go pattaya.
FYI, baht bus in pattaya for tourist is 20b now. Local still 10b.
Enough. 1 day temple sight seeing, outside pattaya city sightseeing, 1 day island tour, 1 day city tour like shopping and malls look see look see. If you want to spend some time on Island, go to koh samet from Pattaya. If not, all 6 days in bkk also can.
From bangkok to pattaya u got a few choices.
1) mini bus (hell ride I don't recommend)
2) coach (super comfy and fast without extra stop)
3) taxi (fast and easy but most expensive)
No one takes train to Pattaya...don't think there is a railway (i think hor).
For hotel, avoid soi 13 and up. Avoid soi 6. Can try 2nd road or soi buakhao area. Or if you are feeling rich, go for those atas one. If you are an average couple with budget but want to stay near the beach front, try soi 1 to 11.
Recommended the above for normal couple...
thank you for your detailed inputs.
is 3 days more than enough in pattaya or will 2 days suffice?
because we will be spending 8 days in thailand (2/3 days pattaya, the rest will be in bkk, not sure should i add one more destination like chiang mai or phuket or koh samet as you have mentioned above? im afraid overall will be packed and rush due to 3 different places)
Another question is that regarding the road trip from bkk to pattaya, will coach be better? Based on what i have researched online is that most frequent departures are from eastern bus terminal which is located near Ekkamai BTS station.
