Had the same problem too, 2years ago Dec 2018, played some games suddenly auto restart... turns out it was my PSU and GPU (980 Ti) failing on me after several stress testing with MSI Kombustor
Had this issue, RMA the PSU and rams. Turned out to be GPU. GPU is fine until it randomly stop spinning for the fans. Heat builds up and overload. GPU shutdown. Occur frequently, especially when gaming.
This symptom is not uncommon. As long as some part in the PC is faulty, it may result in this random reboot. Experienced this a few times and it happened once because CPU is faulty. Faulty or incompatible RAM may also cause this symptom. I’ve not encountered this symptom due to a faulty PSU, but I know it’s possible.
Need to isolate the problem as u all know. It is all possibilities, from cpu to gpu, ram, psu, even mobo etc. If no spare parts, easiest is to pay a bit money as someone suggested to troubleshoot.
