Haha.. anyway I bought seasonic s12ii 520w from lazada already.. have to wait them come and I'll update again.. if it solve other people might come across this post would have a better answer

Use the GTX660 to power up the PC and quickly access the BIOS to set the default Display to Auto or iGPU.

If the power on duration is too short to perform the above, reset the BIOS should set the Display Options to Auto instead of PCIe (for discreet gfx card) for using the i3 6100 Intel® HD Graphics 530 iGPU.

Bios will auto fall back to onboard GPU if none on PCIe slot.

update : pc able to start again with my old gpu after 12 hours rest.. but already bought a new psu from lazada. I'll update again if it's gtx 1070 problem

Your last statement confirm means PSU problem. You can read my long thread posted 1 month ago. My issues were far worse than yours.

thanks for posting such info.. didn't know gtx 1070 require at least 500w psu I thought maximum it needed around 400w ish on non OC

500w can buy at $50-60 , why need to buy 400w ?

you mean 2nd hand de ah.. first hand i see those platforms like lazada or qoo10 or shopee that is 500w all around 80-100+ , those less than 80 bucks de no hear before, scare later buy le fail again

Updated : seasonic s12ii came, exchange old psu with this new one, turn on got soft "****" sound and burning smell i immediately go force off pc then i try again an hour later , this time no smell le

but GTX 1070 not working so i tried switch to GTX 660, also no work.. but PCI-E connected to GTX 660 got LED lights up indicating got power feeding through it but not detected when i plug hdmi in

so i go download GPU-Z / CPU-Z / hwmonitor all only detect my onboard intel graphics, GPU not listed there

so i suspect the "****" sound burn the PCI-E off.. walao damn suay sia during ** so many problem here and there . now LL have to use onboard graphic and to do simple stuff

Edit : i tried plug in GTX 1070 and connect hdmi to onboard gpu and download nvidia gpu driver.. they say " graphics driver could not find compatible hardware " cannot install

was thinking for going ryzen 5 2600 with b450m motherboard , but fit in gtx 1070 with seasonic s12ii works not ah? or lack power

I would stay away from cheap PSU's. The pain of having to replace it and not having a working PC is just not worth it.

previously i wouldn't care what brand is it.. as long as it has the wattage that i need, but now would buy well known brand

PSU is the most important component. Never scrimp on a good PSU so best to go for solid rated Brands that have high single rail ratings. Won’t go wrong with Corsair, Seasonic, Super Flower gold or even plat range.

Don't buy high end type. Least with proper true power psu that carries a warranty

Check carefully if I can detect what was burnt
Once I had so much difficulty that the burnt portion was on rear part of MB after stripping everything apart

On board graphic, can boot normal?

thanks for reply! I wouldn't spend that much money on high end psu which doesnt make sense since I dont overclock cpu or GPU.

onboard gpu works can access to desktop just that gpu fan (gtx 660) not spinning .. even old gtx 660 that fan supposedly to run even just start pc which in this case isn't but got LED lights up on the PCB of the gpu

I've check visually nothing seems wrong no burn mark or anything on the motherboard nor the rear I/O .. everything works except no gpu detection

which leads to me that I need to get a new motherboard .. went online check the same new motherboard cost as much than getting ryzen2600+a320m motherboard from taobao which needed 100+ sgd more

edit : the pcie slot a bit hang downwards due to the weight of the gtx 660.. maybe that might cause the issue

If u adventurous enough, try on the GPUs u have
Clean the slots and contact pins. Sit them nicely into slot, try a couple of times b4 u declare it dead.

Electronics sometimes fail with no visible damage or whatsoever. It's just like "heng suay"
