Assuming all I wanted was to run Dota2 at 1920 x 1080, at max settings, at max FPS, with maybe Skype and a couple other minor programs running in the background with no lag - could anyone recommend me a build? I have a monitor/mouse/mousepad etc.

Any other tips are cool too. Thanks guys.

Edit: I was hoping you guys would come up with a budget for me. I'm assuming the OS could also be... self-obtained? I just need the PC, no peripherals.

Ok, edited my post. I wouldn't need a wireless card/keyboard/mouse, and I assume the OS can be..... self-obtained, yes? :vijayadmin:

I was wondering if I could get by with a budget of 700 or less. Or perhaps just recommend a graphics card that could play Dota2 at max reso/settings so I could build around that?

7790 is enough for a consistent 120FPS on max settings at 1920 x 1080 on Dota2? Is there a NVIDIA alternative?

You dont even need 120fps to play dota2. It will have screen tearing issue if you have lots of action going on on a 60hz monitor.

For all intents and purposes, I just need to run it at 120fps. I understand vsync/screen tearing/refresh rates, but I have my own personal reasons....

Feel free to increase the budget appropriately if needed, I can be flexible ^^

Even at 120fps, what would be difference than playing in 60fps? Spells shoot more clearer? It is not like fps...

Too out of touch frm dota years ago...
