Unplug and replug your power cables on the motherboard and PSU side. Sometimes, there might be an accidental loose connection on the wire like on the CPU power cable on the top left of the motherboard which sends power to the CPU.

Looking at your computer specification, it's seem quite old. What PSU are you using ? It could be the age of PSU that
is dying. Bring to a computer to check and replace any ageing parts that might be dying.

Had a similar problem with my 11 yo computer last month. Power on, fan will spin a while and then stop totally. Checked the motherboard. All the components look ok. Replaced the PSU and everything works again.

Maybe bring down to a shop to diagnose?
At this rate you may end up doing an overhaul :s22:

My 11yo computer is still running perfectly fine after replacing the PSU. The old PSU did power on and spin for a while. I don't study electronics, so I don't know if 1 component of PSU spoil will cause the whole PSU to not turn on at all or not. I dust and reapply thermal paste every few years (did this before replacing the PSU).

This should be the case. You do want the protection features to kick in and stop the PSU from working otherwise you risk taking out the rest of the PC.

Do the easy stuff first, after chexking everything plug in nicely.... Test on 1 stick of ram, if fail swap ram and test....or unplug anything that can cause a short (fans / HDs)... But not the CPU fan... Maybe swap the fan is all. Unplug and still cannot on.... After that is the CPU or MB liao...
