Hello all,

I am looking to get a rig but have no time to build from scratch and have no patience for cable management. I am quite aware of the brand of the components I want.

Came across this boutique builder located in SimLim PCKAKI and found the quotes quite competitive. How are the prices comparable to shops in SLS ?

Anyone purchase from them before can share your experience ?

Alternatively, also looking at carousel builders like excelsior.system

Thanks !

Yes, comparable.. But they don't sell by parts or at least most of the parts. I dislike assembled PC.

PC Kaki is pretty much another store in SLS. Pretty good service.

I also go to places like Pc Themes and Dynacore for my system. Alternatively, you can also consider Tradepac where their cost per component might be super super competitive.

Good luck!!

To me is not bad. Due to my home wiring that is at least 40 yrs old and the assembled PC keeps having coil whining issue (no problem occurs when i bring to neighbour house and shop to test), they helped me swapped 3 times GPU, 3 times PSU during the first week until the least audible coil whine. Dont know whether other shops will help you do all these not.

Buy a UPS to solve the coil whine issue.

UPS? I am currently using extension plug for the PC, monitor and laptop power brick. I thought of even re-wiring my whole house. Any reasonable price UPS you can intro?:)

May I know which brand and model of GPU and PSU that cause the coil whine?

Swap as in same brands new unbox gpu and psu? Not aware old wiring will cause coil whine for both components.

What are the newly replacement brands of GPU and PSU that stop coil whine? I would like to keep them in my future upgrade list too.

Just got a quote from them recently. Slightly higher after comparing with SLS shops general price list for like for like component. Not sure if I can ask pckaki to price match ?

As always no harm asking. You can use other shop prices to pressure them.

Ok cool. I will probably ask for a breakdown of the price of each component then. Currently the quote I received it's for a whole system.

Pckaki not willing to quote individual components as they selling only whole set

If this is the case, quote same spec as other shops and ask them to match or just walk away. If you can get from other store cheaper why not go there anyways instead of PCKAKI
