Rent from no birds for my rental car. I choose hybrid Toyota Corolla again as I find the fuel consumption is very good when I drove it last year from them . When collecting my rental car . Found out I was provided with hybrid Yaris cross instead. The boot is bigger but I feel the FC is not as good as hybrid Corolla hatchback.

Overall ..I feel the Yaris cross is better as it have bigger boot place and Also the car android auto is able to connect my phone wirelessly. The Corolla hatchback required a wired connection.

I drove from Perth airport to Albany after collecting the car. Where It took almost 5 hours for the whole journey, it is a very boring route with no scenic view. Make sure u must rest well and prepare for it.

Hi, I am gg Perth end May and will be doing a self drive to MR.
Questions on On Birds rental:
1) How much did u pay for hybrid Yaris cross per day?
2) need to rebook
3) any surcharges for payment by credit card?
Thank you.

U haven't book a rental car?

I booked this car way back in Jan . So it was 4 months earlier

I paid about au $479 for 7.5 days . Collected on sat morning 7am and return on Fri 7pm. Insurance included with 0 excess. It just cost additional $14 per day and only an idiot will choose to skip it and let me tell u Last year. My toyota Corolla hatchback actually banged with kangaroo and I didn't pay a single cent for the damage where my front bumper and one of the headlight was quite badly damaged .

I don't see any surcharge for credit card but then the exchange rate for credit card also differ .so u need to take note of it. Do aware u need to deposit au$300 for the car rental. It will refund to u when u return the car. For those who rejected their insurance . Will have to deposit $3000.

Just a general question.
Planning for a roadtrip from Perth to Albany and stop by a few town on the way back.
Is renting a SUV vs sedan is more comfortable?
Btw, 2 adults +2 kids.

SUV definitely more space and comfortable. But both type of vehicles will be suitable.

Wow
u must be spending a lot of the food. I did a stop at William for a driving break but didn't visit the woolshed. Went to Denmark bakery also after visiting elephant rock and green pool.

i do feel Perth city is quite warm this time from 11am to 6pm .

SUV seats more flexible & more spacious so more comfortable. also seats are higher, better view of the road. built tougher with 4WD option for safer driving.

Besides driving to Albany and MR, using Perth as the base to join day trip to Pinnacle for star gazing, and Fremantle for a Prison (a world heritage site)tour. At Perth, visited Perth Mint, the clock tower and also joined the complimentary guided tour at Kings Park Botanic Gardens. So still plenty to do here besides food and shopping.

up to u lah. imo problem with sedan is that hard to access the trunk from within, also can't fold back if your little one need to rest. personally will choose hatchback or wagon if SUV not available
