So far in my May trip, only in hotel, attractions, and car rental that did not charge fees for using credit or debit card. I used cash when in supermarket so not too sure they charged?

Using youtrip credit card. No surcharge for my fuel , supermarket and even lottery tickets . Only have surcharge on food courts from those shopping mall. Usually they will display surcharge free on the cashier.

I am renting from Hertz and they have a surcharge when using credit card. That why asking. Normally I will use YouTrip card so that I do not need to bring so much cash.

Just finished with MR and Busselton . Weather quite bad..raining on most days in busselton. Luckily managed to walk the jetty on 1st day. Think the train was closed on the days of heavy rain. Make sure you bring waterproof clothes or umbrellas:(

What to do as We can't predict and control the weather. When I was there during the vesak day week . The whole week was cloudy and sunny for me.. the temp is like 30 Deg during the day time .

I am also went there same period, MR region and Albany weather is colder than Perth, about 22 to 24°C day time, night can down to 17°C. The only time it rained was when on the way to Albany from Mount Barker.

Is Albany worth to stay or just day trip is enough?
Day trip from where ?

On the arrival day I drove from Perth airport to Albany and reached there at late afternoon . I stayed there for 3 nights . I visited the usual tourist attractions green pools / elephant rock at Denmark, the gap / natural bridge and drove to castle rock( required some fitness but is doable for most healthy people).

I like the Albany wind farm the most. Especially during the sunset

I would say. If U have less than a week in Perth. Then just concentrate on Perth and MR. 8 to 10 days then can slot Albany in.

Did you arrived at Perth 6am or 1pm flight?
My trip will be 2 weeks.
Saw the map again. Day trip to Albany from either MR or Busselton is not feasible.
Plan is Perth straight to Albany. From there slowly upwards. MR farm stay, Busselton and last leg at Perth.

2 weeks at Perth. Then Albany is good to go .

I arrived at flight about 5am , took a short nap before I collected my rental car at nobirds. Have a bf with coffee nearby airport and drove straight to Albany. I reached there before 3pm.

The driving route to Albany is quite boring . Remb to take a break and make sure U rest enough especially if U arrive on the 6am flight.

If your flight arrive at noon. Then U have flexibility of going to MR/ Busselton first , Albany and then back to Perth

You need to stay at least 1 night, and most ppl who do albany are doing the southwest loop.

Can't be just drive to Albany then drive back to Perth.

Yes, you need overnight at Albany to rest if your plan is to drive straight from Perth of your first day. I drove on 4th days of my trip and took 2 stops at Dwellingup and Kojonup before reaching Albany, still tired after the long drive.
