Same situation as me .

Worse still , i shown the MRI scan 's summary to the MO and he said '' The summary shown the spinal pretty normal with only minor bugle disc at L4 '' and ''Most people tends to have bulge disc in one way or another '' . In the end , he refused to grant me any new status and merely referred me to the Physiotherapy centre.

They tended to dismiss it as back strain or trivial matters even though the situation seemed serious ( continuous back pain ) . For example , According to the Medical-in-confidential , it wrote '' able to bend 90 degree and withstand/ bear the pressure '' .

Recently , i started to feel numbness and tingling on both of the legs even though lasted only a few hours . Also , the pain radiated downwards to my legs and sometimes my arms , causing great difficulty in marching . So , i decided to go to the medical centre to voice out the concerns . The MO merely said that it was pretty normal and would recede afterwards .

What should i do now ? Voice the concerns to the specialist and get a strong-worded memo in the upcoming memo or sit-and-wait approach .

This is called sciatia.

same here. I'm a recruit going to POP next week. Injured my lower back badly 6 mths before enlisting, recovered but during bmt it came back. Went to MO, did an xray, told me its degenerative disc, and i had a narrow spine, referred to Jurong Medical Center today, did another xray and was told that it was nothing much, no problems. Staff there, upon flashing my 11b, treated me differently, doctor also cant be ****ed. Seriously fuked up. Like what the other posters said before, they are hell bent on having as many combat fit personnel as possible. We give them 2 yrs of our lives for medical treatment like this, so what if its free? Any long term injury in this 2 yrs will be with us for life, and we can't expect them to pay for all medical expenses till we're in our 50s, not that they will anyway. Im disillusioned by this organisation, and im more determined that ever to serve and **** off.

but anyway they referred me to do an MRI at Alexandra Hospital, don't know what the scans would throw up. Hoping for a down pes/8-5. I'd rather do my own ****, get rich and fit(body asthetics wise).

I had an uneventful experience for my hearing problem ( i was diagnosis-ed with tinnitus ) following the review of the medical case by the MMI before the enlistment.

But , when i received the enlistment letter , i was surprised and angered by the content . In the enlistment letter , i was given a PES B status without any excuses such as range , grenade etc by the CMPB even though i was diagnosis-ed with the tinnitus .After the enlistment ,with the constant exposure to the loud noise , i felt my hearing ability seemed to worsen and asked to be referred to the NUH's ENT department .

Qns : Do they have to wait till the eardrum to rupture then they will take actions ?

Everyone has tinnitus.
Also, everyone has the same exposure to whatever you were exposed to.

Do not trust Dr. David Wong Him Choon. He has been suspended before due to malpractice.

The same unethical doctor prescribed me Lyrica for my back pain - An expensive drug from Pfizer associated with depression and no effectiveness on back pain. Found out later, Pfizer was fined USD 1 billion for illegally marketing this drug and giving massive kickbacks to doctors to push its sales.*
