In using normal led tv model 55put8215 2020 model. So far I am impressed with the pic quality and the p5 engine processing. Natural colors and the image is almost oled like

Same with me. Had a Philips plasma TV, and 4 Philips LCD/LED TVs at different times in the past, all of them won’t die until sold after 5yrs or more for upgrade.

My LG LCD TV lasted 5 yrs before it was sold, and my LG OLED TV died after 6yrs.
I will not buy Samsung or LG ..from comments on internet they tend to spoil faster

Anyone knows the difference between PML9506 and PML 9516? Seems like the specs exactly same.

Its the same. They are still selling? Courts was selling 1500 65 inch last year during promotion. Only vivid mode can make it the rest too dim. I passed.

Wah ... you too high standard liao ... I read from one website the PML9506 does 1500 nits peak brightness! That's like 4 to 5 times brighter than my lowly PUT6023 already (& I'm not finding it too dim)! Maybe I no standard ... 😅

What's BD?

You're right though. miniLED doesn't automatically mean awesome visuals. For example, the normal Hisense H9G LED is way more impressive than the miniLED TCL R635. In terms of PQ, Philips still has a way to go before being comparable to the main players on the market.

Just went Courts Mega, Gain City (AMK), Harvey Norman (Viva) today, only Courts has 807 on display as 65". Am interested in the 77" and will prolly get it too. Doubt there are any other Oleds this size and this price ($6800, Lazada). Sony 77" A80L is supposedly better but I don't see much difference. I do see the difference between oled and miniled thou.

Filmmaker mode. WCG. Unknown brightness. For daytime & family viewing, TV will likely look good, but may not be bright enough in bright room conditions. IPS panel & no FALD means greyish blacks and low contrast i.e. not great for dark room viewing. CPU is ARM Cortex-A73, so navigating the UI will be snappy.

I'm just thinking out loud. Don't own this. Am just using the lowest-tier Philips 65PUT6023/98.

Anyone knows if there’s any free screen mirroring app on Philips tv? Or how to mirror it? I can’t seem to get airplay on model 8507.
