There are times like traveling where I could definitely do with abit of highlight retrieval from the raw on phone. Is raw2dng a mobile app ?
Yup, it's free to download from Google Play store for Android. I'm not sure for iOS.

Based on my experience some of my Sony mirrorless like RX100 VII and A5100 after the raw converted, the WB seems extremely off. The only workaround is to use some presets with different WB to overwrite it.

depends on what "help" you are referring to?
- are you trying to have a more steady platform to take photos?
- are you trying to take photos from different angles?
- or something else?

for me, focusing on the right fundamentals may be an easier and more important factor, e.g. gripping the phone properly, using your body to support your hands/arms, correct shutter firing technique, finding a grippy phone case, etc.

I find that taking photos on handphone requires both hands, as I almost always do it horizontally and hopefully with a side grip that I can press shutter using my thumb and still having a good grip on the go while still taking care of kids

the issue starts getting tricky when I’m using iphone se and considering upgrading to max pro 14 or 15, plus I may get other gears, but I realise those YouTubes that talks about such gears are heavily meant for videographers needing both hands to hold and a huge size, but actually I’m just going to use it to take photos with one hand. It seems an overkill

so far what I’m thinking of getting will be

1. moment 1.33x anamorphic lens that will fit on a moment iphone case (when I upgrade I will buy a new iphone case)

2. moment cinebloom filter 67mm attached on the moment lens, then add third party filter cap with a hinge and any step up ring needed

3. small rig mobile cage which allows moment lens. This also can be used for different phones size, and if I want to add filters directly on the phone case without the moment lens)

4. small rig side handle with shutter release.

I know it looks super complicated because I may upgrade phones so fixed size phone cage is an issue and also adding filters also limit the choices. Moment dun seem to sell the cage so I’m looking at different brands (beastgrip, snapgrip, shiftcam, freewell, Sherpa, fjorden)

I know it sounds crazy but I’m the odd one out who uses rectangular filters on dslr on travel photos though I’m not a landscape person so what I might do on my handphone might be very unorthodox

I’m pretty much fixed on the moment anamorphic and the diffusion filter adding on top. But kind of not sure on the side handles. The cage is just to fix the handle to the moment case and be able to fix on lenses and filters. I dun need to add on fancy stuff like microphone lighting etc since I’m not doing videographer or media contents - I just want a good grip

sorry for the huge load of info - I dunno if anyone can help with such odd requests cause I dun see people on the streets doing that (as an amateur with occasional photo taking)

So if anyone do have similar experience and may offer advice. What I’m hoping to get might be something that looks like the below (but only with one handle needed.

Yes I can understand and it may seem that I’m asking too much

but since it is meant for spontaneous shooting while multi-tasking … ya… I know it may not sound reasonable but I guess I’m looking for “cheats” that can be enabled by finding the right gear for better comfort and quick easier button access.

it is not so much for motion blur and I’m not going to use it in low light situation. And since I’m using a lousy phone right now I’m clear that I’m making do with a lot of limitations and making best out of those situations

ya I know I may get shot down by all those who are super serious in their hobbies with my intention of having slipshod techniques

You mentioned
- "still having a good grip on the go while still taking care of kids"
- "iphone se"
- "moment 1.33x anamorphic lens"
- "moment cinebloom filter 67mm"
- "spontaneous shooting while multi-tasking"

Some comments
- i have a iphone se 2020, personally find it small enough for 1 handed shooting
- the 2 moment products may be a bit overkill for the photo output from a iphone se, suggest to check online to see if anyone else has used this setup, and the resulting photos, to see whether it is worth the trouble (and price)
- may wish to consider a cross-body strap, so that phone can be readily available, yet having both hands free to take care of kids

The costs are not prohibitive. It is just that this market seems very small and I can’t get enough first hand info from users

I’ve been looking at prices, specs, reviews over these days so from what I gather I won’t be able to use them all together except for few of them

- the anamorphic lens can be used on future phones. It requires change of moment case if I buy new phone. I’m dropping the idea of using a cage as it is big, heavy and expensive - I’ll consider in future if appropriate one come across

- still deciding on size of diffusion filter. Moment provides 37mm applied directly over phone case. To put it over anamorphic, moment offers a 67mm big filter. So far no options found for smaller filters over anamorphic. Maybe just get 67mm

- undecided over gnd. Very little info and only found nisi selling: I dun like clip on adapter that blocks part of phone screen, it is not stackable with other lenses and round filters, I dunno how much it helps as nowadays handphone do auto-hdr that balance the sky highlights

Do u know where else are there more discussions on such devices ?

Doesn't break a bank, and in applicable scenes I still kind of prefer a good old GND-ed photo vs a smartphone HDR photo. Like u mentioned, accessories like these are going to be very niched.
