You can buy shorter options from Pioneer eg 3m (which is the cable provided to me).
It is NOT A HDMI CABLE.

Hi Pete, some questions.
Do you use the 10M system cable that connects the media box to the TV? Is there a shorter option?
It is connected via display port?
system cable got so long meh... i think only 3 metres.
Ya, I check a bit and it is indeed using display port connection. Would have prefered a HDMI connection though.
10M is too long. 3M still considered long if I am going to use it.
Eyeing the KRP-500A at the shop.
Still considering to hoot it or not.![]()
So the cable provided by pioneer may be a 3 or 10m display port connection cable.
Some noob qns, able to change to HDMI cables instead of that port connection cable? 1 more qns, how many HDMI cables to buy if I were to use my PC as a HTPC? I was thinking 1 from pc dvi to hdmi convertor to tv, 1 from AV receiver to TV and 1 more from blu ray player to TV or AV receiver? Very confused.
Bought a denon 2310 receiver, the free pioneer bdp-320 blu ray player and my pc. Anyone help to ans?
Must use display port cable from the media box to KRP-500A TV. I also hope can use HDMI but the TV only got display port input. And the media box only got display port output.
2 HDMI cables for your PC and BDP to connect to Denon 2310. Plus the DVI to HDMI converter (Or get DVI to HDMI cable also can, no need DVI to HDMI converter, then minus 1 HDMI cable for the PC).
1 HDMI cable from Denon 2310 to TV.

Thank u for the reply bro. Appreciated.![]()
Guys, just wanna check the Krp 500 hdmi cable is connected from the tv to receiver or from the media box to the receiver?
I will be mounting my KRP500A on the wall. Need to ask my designer/contractor to hide the cables.
Any bros have such experience. What is the minimum size of the "hole" that I should ask the contractor to provide in the wall to accomodate the connecting cable(s) betweeen the display panel and the media box and the socket (They will be placed in the mounted console below).
Thanks in advance for all feedback.
Some of the recent questions indicate the poster has not read the manual.
Take some time to read it, it will be of benefit to you.
Cheers
The display port (input) on the TV is facing down. If you mount on the wall, as long as nothing blocking the display port, no need hole. http://www.superfi.co.uk/popup.cfm?...ION&image_name=Pioneer_KRP-500A_rear_1600.jpg
If you must hide, the hole no need to be too big, enough for the display port connector to pass through can already. Unless you want to hide more cables. http://www.awe-europe.com/images/krpca01.jpg
must understand that some of them just order the tv before they renovate, so they do not have access to the manual as the tv is not delivered yet.
