POCO F4 PRO, REDMI K50 PRO AND XIAOMI 12X PRO HAVE SOMETHING IN COMMON​

Despite the fact that now smartphone manufacturers are experiencing a clear shortage of chips, the upcoming Xiaomi 12 is still bound to go according to plan. The release of the smartphone will take place in December and then the company will follow its own premiere schedule. It plans to release several models with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen1 platform, not limited to the Xiaomi 12 series. So, it was reported that the POCO F4 Pro will be the next smartphone from the company to receive Snapdragon 8 Gen1. It can be announced in January next year. And then revelry with naming will begin. The same smartphone will be presented in China as the Redmi K50 Pro and in a number of other markets, primarily in India as the Xiaomi 12X Pro.

Alleged POCO F4 Pro+ gets certified by EEC, launch imminent​

A new device from POCO carrying model number 22021211G has made an appearance on EEC and it is most likely the POCO F4 Pro+. The EEC document was published on Tuesday and was first registered last year on December 29th.

The POCO F4 Pro+ will probably be the global variant of the soon-to-launch Chinese Redmi K50 Pro+ device, and will be a successor of sorts to the POCO F3 that was released in March 2021. The POCO F3 never had a Pro variant, let alone a Pro+ model, so the new device could be signaling a new strategy.

1) Proximity sensors
2) Improved bluetooth support for TraceTogether
3) Lighter
4) Better camera with autofocus feature

seems like the Redmi K50 will retain SD870, K50 Pro uses MediaTek Dimensity 9000 and K50 Gaming Edition uses SD 8Gen1. Still got a rumored Redmi K50 Pro+.

I don't recall the K30 Pro Zoom special edition going into the POCO series, and there seems to be no more OIS for the K40 series. So I don't expect any more OIS for POCO F4.

Redmi K50 - Dimensity 8000

Redmi K50 flagship with a SD8 Gen 1 will launch before the Dimensity-powered K50

As China prepares to celebrate the Lunar New Year, Xiaomi is preparing to launch the Redmi K50 series. The new models are expected in February and will arrive with a mix of high end Snapdragon and Dimensity chipsets – but not at the same time. Lu Weibing told fans that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 model will arrive first, followed by the Dimensity 9000 model.

There is still some uncertainty about which models will get which chips and there are a total of four phones incoming – Redmi K50, K50 Pro, K50 Pro+ and K50 Gaming.

If the processor is Dimensity 9000 and priced around $500, I will consider getting a K50 series as a replacement phone. If not, I won't bother.

Xiaomi Redmi K50 series prices, configurations and global release window revealed​

A leaker has leaked more details about the Redmi K50 series, due later this month. Reportedly, the Redmi K50 series will start at CNY 1,999 (~US$314), but neither the K50, K50 Pro, K50 Pro+ or the K50 Gaming will launch globally until the end of March, at the earliest.
