Right but if Poco F3 can sell so low at less than $300. What major R&D involved needed to upgrade from F3 to F4 ? Cost so much to change the casing/shell?5 % included R&D, marketing, sale.. Etc.. U all think only the price of the raw material?

Yes. SD870 still a better option. Wait for 2.2 promo ba.Hi all, looking to upgrade my dad phone from S10 Lite to this. Or anyone has other recommendations for this $500 price range.
Read online sd870 still a safer option compared to 888 and 8gen1

Haha. Aren't all gaming phones good enough phones for someone like my dad then? Or do you have any other suggestion for the price point?I may be wrong but isn't Poco F series phones gaming phones? Will ur dad be using it for gaming?
what are your dad's usage requirements?Haha. Aren't all gaming phones good enough phones for someone like my dad then? Or do you have any other suggestion for the price point?
Hmm no specific requirements.what are your dad's usage requirements?
e.g.
if want to have good camera output, for $500, i would recommend google pixel 6a
if bang-for-buck, can consider poco x4 gt, cheaper than f4, but cpu is newer and maybe even performs better in some scenarios

if have specific requirements, e.g. want micro-sd slot, want 3.5mm headphone jack, can use gsmarena phone finder to narrow down your choices

Been using poco since 2010.Hmm no specific requirements.
Just use to drive grab, come home watch Netflix.
So I wouldn't want to get him the pixel given the subpar tensor chip.
Just curious how stable Poco phones are compared to like Xiaomi in terms of software.
Thanks bro. Appreciate the assuranceBeen using poco since 2010.
My daughter using Poco X3 NFC since 2020. And me using Poco F3 since last Apr.... so far the software is stable..only thing is that u need to disable all the ads after taking out from the box...
Previously i was using x3 pro, mi 11 and redmi note 9 pro and i feel there is minimal difference from xiaomi since they are coming from the same miui. So far so good for me for general useHmm no specific requirements.

I also have a budget of $500, so Poco X4 GT is better than F4? Prefer 256GB internal memory.what are your dad's usage requirements?

suggest to use https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3 to compare between 2 or 3 models, in this case, so that u can see the difference between f4 and x4 gt, see which one more suitable for your own usage scenarioI also have a budget of $500, so Poco X4 GT is better than F4? Will Dimensity 8100 over heat?
Prefer feedback from real life usage, reviews can be skewed at times.
Happy CNY!
Hmm come to think of it... gaming phones usually have special cooling systems to prevent the phones from overheating... wouldn't that be good for ur dad since he will be almost using the phone all the time when he does grab?Haha. if so, maybe avoid amoled/oled screens, and look for models with lcd screen
to avoid screen burn-in
